People HAVE to fit in to global capitalism, otherwise they're just lazy, stupid, etc. Doesn't matter what kind of factors they are dealing with, whether they're disabled or just grew up in a poor family, if they can't keep up it's their own fault. We're not. The systems we have are far from just "not perfect", people are suffering and because we have inflated GDP rates, we think everything's fine and dandy. Meanwhile we have millions in poverty or worse, being bankrupted by a capitalist healthcare system that bankrupts everyone at some point. No retirement. I don't hate capitalism I just view it as the inadequate and unjust system it is.

Human evolution needed capitalism to get to the point that it's at, now it's time to utilize all those profits we've generated for good, and not just to gather dust in some psychopathic billionaires war chest.

I’m my world, which is mostly what I can speak on..is most people calling for socialism are the one who went to college and were deemed the “smart/succesful ones” at the time, but the stupid people who either dropped out of school and hit the ground running at 16/17 or just entered the work force after highschool are the ones who have worked for years to be at a position where they can live comfortably with no debt and are totally fine with things the way they are…I just find that interesting, I know shits not perfect , poverty is everywhere, but if your a single mother with 5 kids living off state assistance I don’t think you should be living as comfortable as the person who held a job for 20 years and worked their way up the food chain, or scraped n saved n gambled everything on starting a business or investment and saw a good return, call me crazy but you reap what you sow and what not

People from the left and the right come from all walks of life. The left isn't just college students and shit.

So, a kid is more deserving of food if his parents "earned" it, as you say? That's exactly what my problem is. Basic necessities should be met by our current resources, not by some shoddy derivative of social darwinism.

That can’t be possible how would they have gotten emergency use approval…and why would they rush the vaccine if there were treatments that could have helped substantially…like my pappy always told me, follow the money and you’ll find a sexy bitch with 3 tits, or something like that

No-one, yet. I'm also not an employee, so I don't know how it would come down on me. I guess, the company I do work for could start requiring it of us, but that would take a new contract, I would think. I work close to the health field, so I wouldn't be surprised. I also wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't say anything-- I haven't heard from those who I signed my contract with to start in probably 6 years. Still, I see it around me. My brother-in-law was just forced to - or else leave his company /be fired by sometime in November.

Queensland is like the south. Don't lump Victorians in with those bogans... but, yes, there are definitely crazy as fuck people on both sides. My parents think all children should be vaccinated. I asked them why. They didn't have an answer - at all - but they still insist all children should be vaccinated? WTF? (They grew up in Queensland.)

Are we just jabbing people blindly now like some kind of deranged magician throwing syringes at a man strapped to a spinning wheel of doom?

NSW has achieved herd immunity. They are approaching 95% of the adult (16+) population vaxxed and a growing percent of 12-15 year olds are getting jabs now. So, what's next? 5-12 year olds apparently. Why? No answer from anyone.

Dan Andrews (the Premiere of Victoria) said in a press release on Sunday that he wants infants to be jabbed as soon as we get an approved vaccine for 1/2 year olds. That is batshit insane. There is no reason for it.

I have never agreed with children getting jabs and I've always thought some of the pro-vax arguments were flawed, but I'm glad I live in a country that isn't going to have to worry about this fucking virus anymore by the end of the year.
 
Dan Andrews likened jabbing one year olds with "all the other vaccines we give infants", which is fucking retarded since we vaccinate children against viruses they are actually vulnerable to.

When they started this, they said we need to vaccinate to protect the vulnerable and the elderly. Then, six months later, they said - hold on - a bunch of elderly and vulnerable people still haven't go their jabs. Why the fuck not? Are we supposed to hold our breathe forever?

So, to protect the 80 year old morons that don't want to be vaccinated, now the entire country (including children) need to be vaccinated?

I've been too far on the pro-vax side recently. I've been ignoring the madness. This is hypocritical. Again, I apologise.

I'm not locked down anymore and I feel a million times better. I went to the beach for a couple of days and purposely left my phone at home. I saw my parents for the first time in three months. They built sand castles with their grandchild. I'm going back again in a couple of days. We need to make up for lost time.

Soon, I'm going to start to forget about this whole mess.

If that means I need to be jabbed once a year or whatever, fuck it. It is a better alternative than an unknown number of outbreaks and lockdowns and masks.

This is not a free country, but we will be free of this virus.
