i need that shirt :)

I mean really sit down and think about this simple fact…they are using the guise of unity to divide the country. Why is that, does that not seem odd? Forget the dehumanizing and lynching of people that think differently

i think it's a little more funny to me because it's practically illegal to talk about religion or politics at an Italian dinner table
Well, passing the salt is the hot topic.

Spaghetti dishes and outstanding Olive oil are good too though.

I can understand it though.

The Italians are not stupid as a culture they long have recognise the importance of healthy and proper eating practice which has always been very communal.

To me it actually makes a lot of sense to taboo subjects which could erupt in all different directions and cause mayhem and emotional anxiety at the dinner table the place where you really need your mind to be relaxed in order to nourish your body.

So actually get that and don't see it as being necessarily repressive.

Im half Italian, and there are some HEATED political debates at the table, but everyone can say their piece and move on for the most part…except my little brother, who I was extremely close to until he went to college, don’t get me started there ha… but he is your text book woke left wing extremist, he practically disowned my family for being conservative, it was at that moment I realized just how much of a cult this is

Politics divides very well. Growing up, the concept of Politics had no meaning to me so I stayed right out of it.

It made no sense. Just a common room of chaos, fued, disagreement, power struggle, and treachery.

I'm sure all came about naturally, inevitably as part of culture, and mankind's gross but generally innocent haphazardness.

Here’s the thing, we’re all just people walking the earth, shouldn’t we have the freedom to do what we want granted it doesn't hurt anyone els ? We’re autonomous creatures and I think we should preserve that the best we can to not end up in a brave new world..obviously you then get into the whole “words are violence” and vaccine for the greater good type stuff, but fuck we’re heading in a very clear direction

so my Great-grandfather, his name was Luigi....they had 11 kids (imagine being at that dinner table) 9 boys 2 girls....so i have an Uncle Mario and an Uncle Luigi but they called Uncle Luigi "Jidgy"

i had an Uncle Chick - his real name was Americo since he was the first born in the U.S.

my grandfather was nicknamed "Lindy" because he looked like the Lindbergh baby and he was born a few years before when that all went down

my grandmother was Violet and that wasn't her real name either

good ol times

they all smoked cigs so it took a lot of them out early but the couple that didn't smoke, all came close to 100 yrs old

and guess what.....none of them were vaccinated beyond the smallpox vaccine

It doesn't appear to match the forecast does it? We keep hearing how "it's" working.

Evidenced by the stats. To me life was far more ordinary the entire 2020.

We only needed it, to return quickly to normal.

Past Spring, everybody was singing hallelujah in praise. What happened?

What on earth happened here?

As soon as you said Luigi I was thinking to ask you if you had another uncle called Mario lol you answered that for me.

All you need to tell me now is that you grew up going go-karting with your two uncles. 😂

Those Italian genetics are something else eh? My dad is a specimen I tell ya, my dad is 86 and still gets up everyday at 7 to run his business till 6 and works around the house when not working, guy can’t stand still god bless him, he too was never vaccinated and beat covid in a couple days, I’m pretty sure he got less sick then me

It's not genetics it's mindset and focus.

Now - my mother - born in 1952...she has a brother 2 years younger...

she catches the measles when she was 4....my uncle doesn't catch it....then, the following year, my mother catches rubella aka the german measles.....again, my uncle, nothing....it came and went and she got over it no problem

so when the vaccines come out, anybody born before a certain year, doesn't need to get the shots because they were most likely exposed already and have natural immunity

so now they're starting to say that Delta is running out of people to infect.....but that doesn't matter we all still gotta get the shots

if you don't think that's nefarious, then you might be a little on the gullible side im sorry to say

remember when the news used to not be like that? it used to just be news
I do. I used to enjoy the evening news ( Back in 70's thru 90's. ). That's how I kept up with current events and it was just the story with no spin. Just the facts. I grew up in a household that it was on in the background during dinner. After 2000, I started to see the shift. And by 2010 it was all biased.

I don't watch any news on any channel of any kind. I stay informed on my own terms now.
