Yeah moderating this forum must be a real treat.

IMO/E she does this well, fairly and with a no-nonsense attitude: Does it with commendable aplomb. I see her taking no sides, targeting no one persona affording the right to speak ones mind (maybe a sane argument).
Just sayin... if there's beef with any entity like this there are some serious issues that must be dealt with. lol She gets paid nada to do this and I wouldn't and couldn't do it myself so I back the fuck up and toe the line - mostly... sorry.

There's 2 new vaccines in late stage trials.
A whole virus vaccine like many we are familiar with.
J&J have an attenuated product at stage 4 with Sinovac at stage 3 trialling the inactivated version.
There's a viral vector being used by Astra Zeneca but J&J are at stage 4 with this idea, using an adenovirus like the common cold to pass deliver genetic instructions to trigger an immune response.
I heard about the possibility of a subunit vaccine which actually uses protein from the pathogen itself as the hep v does. Not sure where that's at.
It all pales into insignificance when compared to the threat posed by the pathogenic bacteria. The little monsters just evolve quicker than it takes to complete a trial, and there are huge financial rewards being offered for pretty much anything that gives us a better chance. That could result in a potential extinction event. Which really doesn't feel like such a bad thing right now.
Maybe we just don't deserve to exist and something else can adapt to the current conditions better. Unless someone can find a winner, we have 20-30 years.

Covid is dangerous =/= vaccine is safe. They are two different things.

The more detailed science I've been reading about the vaccines, how they came to be, the failure of most doctors to report ADRs, the poor track record of the companies making them, and the dismal history of coronavirus vaccines in the west, all lead me to be skeptical of these products. In my professional and personal networks, many people have been injured permanently. I have a relatively who works in private insurance disabiltiy and she has people on claim who are permanently paralyzed and in wheelchairs. This is no joke.

I'm not necessarily against vaccination if that's what people choose, but we should be using all the tools. The FDA and the media are basically lying to us about the effectiveness of ivermectin. Here is a site that provides a good meta-analysis:

Even if you consider the lower range studies, IVM could have saved possibly hundreds of thousands of lives. Instead, they pretended that no antiviral works, and sent covid patients home to possibly die.

Fauci own patents with Moderna, and another higher-up in the FDA has connections to Pfizer. The cronyism and nepotism, combined with the science reviews above, lead me to believe this is one giant scam.

The vaccine shows high efficacy in the first 2 months only. After that, immunity wanes, and then you need booster after booster. The immunity it grants may not be comprehensive, and it made cause Antibody Dependent Enhancement which is really, really bad for future viral epidemics.

Long-term data is extremely lacking, and now the laws are coercing people into getting these shots under threat of loss of livelihood. It's not right.

These two have both been "debunked" by sites like Snopes and Factcheck, as well as countless other smear sites... but what they are saying should raise eyebrows.

I have personally caught the government lying in my research more than once, and that's enough to make me highly suspicious of what's happening.

There is such a thread already. The problem is that nearly every issue imaginable that has been politicized (ie, nearly all issues we face in the world) have two entirely opposing views of reality. So that's why "conspiracy theories" abound everywhere, and each side thinks the other is guilty of it. It is seemingly impossible to discuss anything that has been politically charged without bringing that element into it.

I mean, if you don't want to engage with reality and get vaccinated or wear masks, that's fine, but you can't be surprised when you lose the privilege of going certain places. That's how society determines standards for public health and sets guidelines.

You have the right to not get vaccinated or wear masks, but that right stops shortly before impeding on the health of the people around you.

@JackARoe as Xorkoth mentioned, we do have an alternative research/conspiracy theory thread, but the problem is that people who believe conspiracy theories become quite angry when you refer to them that way. Also, they generally want to share “the truth” with everyone, not just talk amongst themselves.

I do agree that some items would be more appropriate there, but historically that thread has unfortunately caused as many problems as it has solved.

the above was obvious for ages from smaller amounts of data but its good to have a more comprehensive study confirming it.

if i was unvaccinated i'd be getting more and more concerned about what would happen if i needed hospital care ..... i've seen how you get treated by medical professionals as a junkie, and i'm not defending it, its gross, but you can understand the frustration when someone just keeps harming themselves. no, i'm not comparing not getting the covid vaccine to being a junkie, but that medical professionals compassion definitely depends on whether they perceive your problems to be self inflicted, and compassion impacts quality of care.

from what i've seen its mostly anti vaxxers using ivermectin. i don't know why anyone who has sufficient comprehension of data/confidence in those who do would opt for a completely unproven prophylactic/cure over a very well tested vaccine.

and a study of < 100 people- less than 30 per group!!! accepted 2 days after submission? lol, there is no way that was well peer reviewed. their confidence intervals are pretty huge, and, crucially, significantly overlapping.

honestly, if you're going to believe that, then why not also believe the studies of millions around the world and get the fucking vaccine.

We have some. Im gonna take it, not because, ironically, I feel I needcit fir Covid now, as it's at most in my bladder alone.

But those other neurological viruses, I expect it to possibly act upon.

My mum has suffered a lot with her Long Covid.

Like me, she only had the one single contraction last Sep, and is dispaying the same apparent immunity as myself.

She took some ivermectin as her Long Covid is less clear or more systemically influential than mine.

She insists she felt a lot better pretty quickly. Zero harmful side effects.

Ivermectin is reported to work very quickly.

Just because a compound basically, is reputably established for antiparasitic activity in horses, is no necessary reason it's a non juman grade or safe medicine with a strong action.

I bet there are many antimicrobial/antiparasitic supplements, herbs, drugs usedcby humans which would also be effective in animals.

I'm not scared of the Ivermectin. I do have allergies to tablets though, binders and excipients. Which is just some temporary bother.

If it's a daily supplement, it's unviable. But as a one off...

Plus, horse ketamine, is the best ketamine for humans.

The delta variant could evade vaccines if it becomes Delta 4+, new paper warns​

The researchers for the paper, who worked in Japan, made four changes to the amino acid structure of the delta variant to test out if it could evade vaccines with specific mutations.Three of the mutations — K417N, E484K and N501Y — already exist in the beta variant, which was discovered in South Africa. The South Africa variant has, for the most part, been defeated by the vaccines, though there has been concern about vaccine efficacy and the beta variant.

So the researchers added one more mutation to create an engineered virus — called a pseudovirus, which is harmless and can’t self-replicate — called Delta 4+ and tested it against the Pfizer vaccine.

The antibodies made from the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine could not stop the man-made virus in the lab, the researchers said.
