The Clinton Discussion Thread

The Clinton's have had much more influence on the nation in the past 20 years than Trump. Wouldn't that make their crimes a bit more important? Maybe it could even help mend a system that they are so entrenched in so that another Trump is never elected again.

I cannot say with any amount of confidence that one is worse than the other, but this is the Clinton thread so maybe we should focus on them here?

Assuming it were possible, I'd have no problem with investigating and prosecuting them all simultaneously.

But if that weren't possible, I'd want trump to go first. Because if Hillary were truly more powerful, it stands to reason she either wouldn't have run for president (because it wouldn't get her any additional power). Or she would have run, and made sure she won.

But since she ran and lost, I have to assume trump currently poses the bigger threat.

But speaking hypothetically, I'd be fine with simultaneous investigations.

I have no love for the clintons and would be happy to see any and all of their crimes exposed too. But trumps the president. Which is why I'm far more concerned about his crimes.

If Trump had lost, I'd care a lot more about Hillary clintons crimes. But he didn't.

Id happily see the whole lot of them prosecuted. I just want the truth to come out. And I highly doubt any of them are clean.
but what crimes has trump actually commited that is the answer I am seeking

What he's accused of currently is, in current order of importance: 1) the Zelensky phonecall incident, 2) obstruction of justice (re: Mueller investigation) and 3) violation of the emoluments clause in the Constitution.

As far as what he's done, that's a matter of debate, but that's the general thrust of the investigations thus far. There's also the Southern District of New York stuff with Trump's taxes, the whole Trump University fraud incident, Trump's "charity", and probably other stuff that I'm forgetting at the moment

But Monkeys had a good point, this thread is about the Clintons, not Trump.

One thing this presidency has done is forced me to become aware of the Clintons' corruption.

I had to LOL at this first before telling y'all to take your Trumptarded Trumpness to the Trump thread.

This is the thread for people that think Killary knew the people that murdered Epstein who definitely didn't commit suicide.

None of what I said there is even a matter of opinion (except perhaps for the emoluments clause one, which presently isn't as big in the media narrative of Trump's misdeeds and hasn't gotten as much play as the others). Those are the accusations against him, people can decide for themselves whether they're bullshit or the god's honest truth. I was just answering the poster's question, which can only possibly be genuine and asked in good faith if he/she doesn't live in the United States (where's it's unfortunately impossible to avoid news of Trump), or recently emerged from a coma.

But that's all I'm gonna say about it, because you're right, this is a thread about how Killary murdered Epstein, Vince Foster, Seth Rich, the Clinton's chef, and all the other poor unfortunates

Thank you for replying! 🙂

I know that's why I was laughing, because some people have actually convinced themselves that Trump didn't legitimately win the election and must be removed by any means necessary. Those reasons to remove him are a joke. Some people really didn't learn from the Mueller Fizzle. Trump has been a B+ president (so far) but one of his greatest achievements was saving the world from the objectively evil Hillary Clinton.

I don't want trump removed because I don't think he legitimately won the election, I believe he did.

I want him out of office because I don't like him, and I want him removed (as in hoping to see him actually removed from office, as opposed to just wanting him to lose the next election) because he has on numerous occasion abused the power of his office.

Fortunately it's no longer a question of Hillary vs trump. We can get rid of trump and not have to deal with a Hillary presidency instead.

He actually hasn't abused his power that much at all considering what he would be able to do to if he wanted. He could destroy his opponents but he seems to be playing nice overall. I have no idea why. However every politician at that level abuses their power, even the previous few presidents so that's not exactly a good reason to literally remove someone as president, especially one that has so much support.

You know man, you've had some bad arguments over the years, but this one really takes the cake.

"Well other criminals got away with it, why shouldn't trump!"
"if he were really that bad, he coulda been a way worse criminal!"

Just... Wow.

And yeah, he's just so popular. Except for all these people who hate him.

yeah, he's real popular :)

:)

seriously, his approval has never been above 50%. i went back as far as harry s. truman (12 presidents) and they all, at some point in their presidency, had a net positive approval rating. trump has never had a net positive approval rating.

That's fake news. The only real poll is that one that only measures likely voters, and defines likely voters to mean Republicans.

You know, the one trump uses to delude himself that he's secretly very popular.

Ugh, much as I try to cope by laughing at it, this is really bad. I keep hoping trump will have a heart attack or something. Cause things could get a lot worse if he loses or hits the term limit and refuses to leave.

Now people have been worrying about that since forever, and I've generally dismissed it. I dismissed it with Bush and Obama too. But I can't say I'm as confident that it's an unfounded fear with Trump.

And it's all our fault, we did this all to ourselves. And anything that happens as a result is what we deserve. That's how democracy works.

Why are these in the Clinton thread? Idunno

And watch him STILL get re-elected ;)

I also dismiss these comments of him not leaving if he loses. It's irrational fear. I obviously provide more support for him on here than most, and if he lost I'd be in line to kick his ass out of the White House because it's not on to simply squat after losing. Sadly, the Dems haven't had that view since they lost the last election. Since then, it's been a constant effort to get him removed - forget about accepting reality of losing the vote and actually doing their job in Congress.

Honestly, though, I never even considered Bush or Obama, or anyone for that matter, refusing to leave. I can't conceive of it being possible. At a minimum, the newly elected President would have authority over law enforcement to arrest and forcibly remove if required. I just don't see any American staying after they lost, even if they really wanted to. Same goes for reaching the term limit - I can't imagine someone refusing to leave. The closest I can imagine is they grab someone they trust (hey, son!) to be President and the incumbent simply steps down (wink-wink-nod-nod) to VP.

Odd how many people are wishing ill, or violence even, upon Trump. I can't recall hearing nearly as much ill wishing from the right. Maybe I'm missing it, but I certainly hear more of it from the left these days. There is the conservative joke to that by saying 'Liberals should be scared, who has the guns?' which rings of some truth. But the ones I'm truly afraid of are the left who has fought the President so hard for his entire administration and bemoaned his winning the office. What happens if Trump wins re-election? What will they do then, after screaming in the streets, constant investigations, and increasing wishes for fatal illness or worse to befall him....what happens in the next four years from the left if he wins again? That might scare me if I could give it context and boundaries, but for right now it remains largely unknown.

Because, dumbass....read above and see when someone took a left turn of topic from Clinton to Trump

really?

the amount of abuse and racist hate directed at obama on and after his election was disgusting.
