US Politics the 2025 trump presidency thread

Man, it's crazy watching the GOP tearing itself to shreds before his term has even started. It's like watching an episode of cheesy reality TV. You get what you pay for, I suppose.
 
Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky criticizes the finger-pointing within the Democratic Party, saying President Biden is not to blame. She also explains where she believes the party went wrong in communicating with voters and states that the Democratic Party is no longer the party of common sense.

Is this the beginning of the end of TDS? I hope so because if the Democratic Party doesn't improve the way they communicate they will find it hard to actually gain the votes no matter how they believe themselves to have a moral point.

Maybe One Day before I die people will learn what the meaning of the word "Vote" means & understand no matter what you may feel for Donlad he Won by the rules of the game.

To use the term "Brat" taken from that Charli XCX, Donald Trump may as well have used the term "Vargsmål" & stuck up images of Varg from the mid 1990's to get more of the 4Chan / 8Chan lot to vote for him too ;)

It's not a thing. Just a fake "malady" that unqualified not-doctors have made up out of whole cloth in order to libel or slander anybody who doesn't worship their dear leader with their fervor. They're full of pure and unadulterated bullshit and not a one of them has ever been able to cite anything in the DSM-5 to demonstrate otherwise.
 
oh, that was a brain fart on my part. i just didn't recognize that c_k meant tds in that context.

tds is a bunch of bullshit. it's like "fake news" - it's a thing trumpers throw out when they don't like being challenged on the facts and merits of an argument.

Just had a guy go on and on about Biden on Facebook and then when I cited Trump being worse on one of the things he went on about, he accused me of TDS.

Trump makes them feel like "winners". It's why the whole "owning the libs" thing is so important.
I'll say it again. A Trumper is someone who is angry at their lot in life because they ended up making a living performing menial tasks for the kids they picked on in high school.

  • trump is going to invade panama
  • trump is going to merge the u.s. and canada
  • trump doesn't understand how tariffs works
  • trump does understand what a trade deficit is
  • trump's pick for secretary of energy is awful
  • trump's pick for secretary of education is awful
  • trump's pick for head of the department of homeland security is awful
  • trump's pick for director of national intelligence is awful (and a potential security threat)
  • trump's pick for secretary of defense is awful
  • trump's initial pick for attorney general was awful
  • trump's pick for attorney general is awful (and corrupt)
  • the windmills are driving the whales crazy, obviously

Did you watch his presser? He wants the Panama Canal, Canada, and Greenland. Said he won't rule out military force.
"People really don’t even know if Denmark has any legal right to it. (Greenland) But if they do, they should give it up because we need it for national security."
So, we're going to start taking nearby land, just like Russia.

it was an absolute dumpster fire of a an event. he's unhinged.

a friend described him to me today as "grift and performative cruelty. international embarrassment" which seems about right.
