in a press conference yesterday trump said "i am the friend of police, more than any president that's ever been in this office." shortly after he won the election he said he would consider pardons for jan 6th criminals as long as their crimes were non-violent.
this is daniel rodriguez:
on january 6th 2021, he assaulted mt. police office michael fanone by tasing him. afterwards he tweeted "Omg I did so much fucking shit and got away...tazzed the fuck out of the blue."
he pled guilty to multiple charges including "inflicting bodily injury on officers using a deadly or dangerous weapon". he was sentenced to over 12 years in prison.
he's a free man today, having been pardoned by trump on monday.
