In other words, you uncritically accepted a misrepresentation of reality as being accurate then shared it here. It's difficult to see how this is not part of the problem I am talking about.

Everyone thinks what they believe is true, so it is unurprising that you generally take yourself to be disseminating the truth. In most cases, the 'truths' I see you posting in this forum are highly contentious, and I don't think you can take it for granted that you know them to be true.

In any case, I don't feel there is anything to be gained from continuing this exchange, so that's me out for now. Thanks for answering my questions.

This is a bit dramatic. Biden fucks up every day and that video would not have significantly altered anything. I agree that Trump should've fact-checked it before tweeting or made sure to note that it was edited.

Of course they're contentious, they cut through entrenched propaganda and establishment lies. It took a lot for me to accept certain things that I did not want to accept over the years, but I care more about the truth than my own feelings (I wish everyone were the same).

The segregation thing is already being brought to social media, and I'm sure Trump will challenge him on his voting record. The 'proven child molester' lacks any substance. We all know him as 'Creepy old Joe' for the obvious reasons of his behaviour around females, particularly young ones...but I don't recall him ever being charged, or even labelled, as a child molester. Do you have his arrest record?

You don't think it's possible or even likely that Trump's team edited it and he disseminated it as a Biden smear campaign piece? That would be the sort of lying that is a big deal. I don't care if Biden fucks up all the time (he does, I don't support him). But you smear someone with facts, not with fabricated videos.

Powerful people often don't get arrested or charged with crimes. I'm talking about the video evidence that anyone can watch of him on CSPAN touching many little children inappropriately. He's obviously a pedophile IMO but I've had Democrat partisans watch the same footage and completely deny what they see. If someone excuses pedo behavior for political reasons then I feel sorry for their soul.

Unfortunately Youtube has changed their search algorithms to present only "approved and authoritative" (i.e. bullshit mainstream media) content to appear in search results, otherwise I could've easily found the CSPAN video and linked it.

No, because it's not necessary. Trump is not scared of Biden. I and many others don't believe that Biden has any chance against Trump. He's a senile failure with a closet full of skeletons. If it was a closer race I could maybe see this happening but I think someone edited the video, it looked legit, Trump saw it and re-tweeted it. Even if it was legit, nobody would have been surprised if Biden had said that. Also these accusations are a bit rich considering how deceptive the MSM has been with how they've presented Trump over the past few years.

Using your logic, Trump is a sexual predator and rapist. It doesn't matter if charges were brought up (though they were) because he's rich and powerful and they get away with things. You can't have it both ways.

Normally I'd agree but Trump had even more powerful people trying to take him down so that could make him appear even more innocent that nothing stuck. Also in the case of Clinton and the emails, I know for a fact that there is evidence of crimes. The only way you know for a fact that Trump was a rapist is if you were there (or if there was overwhelming evidence like in the case of Weinstein).

Back on topic, I have a question for people here: Biden is winning in big part due to the black vote. Why are black people voting for Biden and not Sanders?

I read this morning that he'd need a 55% average from every remaining primary to win. Which, it was suggested, is vanishingly unlikely even in the best of circumstances.

I'm really surprised democrats seem to like Biden, he comes across as rather weak and like he's half asleep with lights on and nobody home. By comparison, Bernie seems energetic, sharp and a powerful orator. Trump must be loving it, he's gonna eat Biden alive.

blacks living in southern states, aka, conservative democratic voters, voted for Biden mostly because he is the centrist candidate. Also because they love oBama.

you do not see the same trends in any other state outside the south. at least not to an extreme degree that is out of proportion with other demographics.

you know, I'm thinking it actually would be possible if Bernie would open up a can of Whoop Ass™ at the debate Sunday night. Like a no holds barred death match. With the main goal of getting the point across that Joe will get murdered by Trump in the general.

Bernie should admit that Trump would call him a communist and say he had a heart attack. Then go into everything he would say about Joe. The mental decline, the low energy, hunter Biden corruption, bad trade deals, crime bill, bankruptcy bill, Iraq war, Anita hill, Strom Thurman, segregation, the Nelson Mandela lie, the constant gaffes....

i don't think he has that in him though.

Yeah I got the impression his campaign was trying to do 'positive' politics or something. Which worked equally terribly for Corbyn in our elections last December. I don't understand the aversion to using all the tools at a candidate's disposal, including fighting dirty. There are no medals for being Mr Nice guy nor for losing because of it.

because Bernie doesn't want to weaken Biden as a candidate, since it's likely he WILL be the candidate. He doesn't want to be remembered as the reason Trump got a second term.
 
Bernie didn't do it to Hillary (the point I withdrew support for him) so he won't do it to Biden
