When you're so high on meth you DGAF because know you are morally superior in every way
That describes Adolf Hitler. His doctors injected him with cocktails of drugs throughout the day... meth was in the morning is what I seem to recall (and makes sense).
Fox News showing a modicum of fairness to Trump isn't a strong bias. Ask Shepherd Smith and a few other Fox anchors what they think of Trump? Because the liberal media (the vast majority of the news channels) are so irrationally and rabidly anti-Trump, they make Fox News look like Trump apologists just for giving him a fair shake. But no, the partisan bias in media cannot come even close to being compared.
I totally agree with you that the news media is rabidly against Trump. But of course at this point ALL they care about is a story. It's become like those stupid gossip mags that when I realize someone is actually into them and believes them, I feel sorry for them. Trump is the amazing at drawing attention to himself, and the media is leaping on everything. "The daily stupid Trump tweets!" Sometimes they're fucking dumb and sometimes it's like, shut the fuck up guys, this is stupid. But people get outraged at all of it. It's dangerous. But it's not a problem unique to Trump (and I think Trump wants the attention a lot of the time, he does this shit on purpose, it was his tactic even before he ran for president). The media is eager to point and shout at famous people. It's just crossing over into politics now too. AOC gets in bad. Hillary had it very bad.
That aside, Trump definitely gets it the worst. But there is a reason for that. It's because many Americans watch his actions and mannerisms and lies and then reversing and pretending he never lied, and realize that this is a horrifying thing, that we've gotten to this point. And it's easy to put it all on Trump and the MAGA crowd, even though our situation is the fault of all of us as a whole. And getting enraged at Trump and a whole group of people is the crux of our problem. The media is enflaming this toxic hyperpartisan divide on purpose because it sells.
That's not to say that Trump isn't ridiculous, though. So much material, worth making fun of, but the news shouldn't get into that, leave it to the people and the comedians.
I have come to realize the media treats Trump unfairly, and like the playground bully, he eggs them on when he puffs up and can't handle criticism because of narcissism. So he gets 24/7 insulting coverage. However it's also important we hold him accountable for his actions, so some of that is valid. A lot of my opinion and visceral judge of Trump's character is when I get to watch him talk to the audience during rallies, or give speeches (but especially at the rallies). It's obviously what kind of man he is by watching him. Yeah a lot of people just read headline and are like "OMG our president, like,
sucks Britney", but observing a person, watching their face, their eyes, and their words, it tells you a lot. And I have never wanted a man like that leading the country, and my feeling has turned out to be right so far, since all but a few of his policies and actions I have disagreed with.
I don't think Trump's the devil incarnate, at all. He's a born-rich, spoiled brat who doesn't understand anything about normal peoples' lives, who has narcissistic personality disorder, like clinical, I am so sure of it, having known one intimately. He is not looking out for the country. He's looking out for himself, period. The presidency is just a way for him to get more famous. He wants everyone to know, love and revere him, to consider him the best at everything and the smartest. The sheer number of times he has displayed these characteristics makes me sure of it. And you cannot rely on a narcissist. And you certainly shouldn't put one in a position where they're responsible for 360 million people.
Also in general Obama featured MUCH MUCH less in the news cycle than Trump does. Maybe some of us have short memories, but that is an undeniable fact.
Yes, because Obama acts like a normal human being and doesn't, for example, make concerning or confusing tweets every day, or shockingly admit to things, or have a really dysfunctional white house with people quitting left and right and tell stories about it. There is a basis for reporting on unbelievable stuff Trump does because he does a lot of it. He lives for the attention, like I said, and I will freely admit this is educated speculation with no proof, I think a lot of it was either invited intentionally or he was even in cahoots... he's a very successful advertiser of himself.
Obama wanted to go where he was going and not get noticed. He was charming and gracious when people would start fanboying out. He didn't do any ridiculous shit, he put his head down and did the work. For him, it was not about the stardom, in fact my guess is he didn't like that part of it (I sure as fuck wouldn't)
Everything the dems accuse Trump of doing is what they have done and are doing. Thing is, in the end the truth will surface and everyone will see them for who they really are.
In the end, or actually, well before the end, I truly hope we can all realize that the DNC and the RNC (establishment politicians) are all on the same side. They're working for the corporations. They're creating drama and division on purpose so we can all spend our time and effort being angry at our fellow Americans and fail to notice as our quality of life keeps slipping away
