At 840USD for 50mg, this is more valuable than the best cocaine in the world hundreds of times over. Insane.

Interesting that it's active though!

I wonder what the simplest analogue retaining activity would be.

^ I was wondering about the activity as well.

Do you have some specs as to its binding affinity, or how it compares to AEA or THC? When I searched for it I found the articles, but when I clicked on them I guess my school's online journal couldn't find them.

I guess its a hybrid between the two, but after looking at comparisons they look quite different to me. pratically the only untouched thing from AEA is the ketone next to the secondary amine, and the THC is only keeping the 2-methoxy toluene part. Even the side carbon chain has switched positions. Any idea why it's active? I mean, i suppose it still could be, but it seems like it would be vastly different than THC or AEA.

Doesn't look like the alkyl sidechain is very tolerant of modification, CB-25, the pentyl substituted version acts as an inverse agonist at CB1.

The company blurb lists CB-50 as a partial agonist at CB1 and antagonist at CB2, given the nasty effects on the immune system seen with inverse agonists (is rimonabant, the one I'm thinking of CB1 selective?) and the distribution of CB2 receptors, I.E mainly bone marrow, spleen, white blood cells, I'm not sure I fancy this one at all, shame given the relatively simple structure compared to most cannabinoids.

the link has all of that info.

ah, so the product insert does have that. I was looking more at the article section. Thanks.

and what's a neutral antagonist?

And where is a good place for binding affinities? I tried the ones listed in the ADD sticky post, but couldn't find anything. Google search came up with crap. I just wanna compare how this compound is as far as THC and AEA, and also just a reference for how strong it is in general. Yes its really expensive, but if a dose is say 200 micrograms, then it might be work trying (barring any bad immune effects Limpet described).

Also, i assume you meant to say CB-52 limpet? The company doesn't make CB-50, nor does it exist, as far as i know.

840 $ for laughable 50 mg?! The compound is synthetically accessible without great effort and the price, therefore, much exaggerated! Pfff...

Thats one thing thats always gotten my goat, in fact, its got my goat so many times, there are genetics companies queing up in hordes to get some of those goats in my head :P, how shamelessly greedy the research chemical (in sensu stricto) companies are, I have never personally done business with that kind of company, most of them hate people with no letters after their name/dealing with people outside of professional research anyhow, but I've looked on various ones for details of various compounds, and see even fairly simple chemicals going for rediculous rates.

Muscimol being one I remember looking at, and it was selling for something like 5mg/hundred dollars plus, and considering 10-15mg or so is a fully active dose, and one can become somewhat altered from a single very large specimen of the fly agaric, made me stop and think, how the hell they get away with it, and research labs don't buy the basic chemicals and synthesise their own research material.

In academic research, the labs that need these substances for their experiments are normally specialized in the microbiological/biochemical aspects and lack a synthetic section. If you can't find a cooperation partner, you are practically forced to accept these prices.
In the industry, it's often the deadline that counts more than money. So, you just buy your reagents are care more for the punctuality of results.

Just some general considerations...
