got prescribed clonazepam again and looked for teva generics. they are different than they used to be and do not seem as effective as 2mg of purepac. anyone take the old and new teva clonazepam? new ones have TEVA stamped on them.

Generics are so subjective that brand loyalty to manufacturers plays a very big deal, in my experience. There are only a couple of generics that are a bit shoddy, like Mylan Diazepam and Mallincrodkt hydrocodone, but all this bagging on TEVA is strange. The Adderall 30mg IR and Dexedrine 10mg IR/ER produced by TEVA (owns Barr) seems potent enough to me, although I've only compared it to CorePharma 20mg IR Adderall.

TEVA has shoddy manufacturing standards, but they're not going to skimp people on active drugs that won't even save a few pennies per tablet on their end.

I've been on clonazepam for a few years now. For some reason, I always end up with the TEVA pills (1 mg). I never noticed any change in potency, although I don't know when the switch happened.

We generally don't do brand discussion here at BL.

Generic drugs are mandated by the FDA to contain exactly the same amount of actives as the "real" drugs. The variability window isn't more than plus or minus 10 percent in the worst case.

Companies get in a lot of trouble if their 2mg clonaz pills don't actually have 2mg in them.
