^^lol Yes you sound like a regular perv with you vulgarity regardingt ankles and wrists!

Indeed! I cant believe that all the old syntax is being replaced with Urban dictionary definitions. Why not let both, be kept going? I just like the aesthetics of languageand 'ye olde' definitions purely for the fact that if you look them up it usually leads into into the latin/Old German/whatever definition came from and then you get to find out where the word stemmed from originally, how it came to life, in what historical context it was born from, etc etc. Why get rid of that? That gives you so much info on things that otherwise would have been lost to an individual. ugh...am annoyed too easily by this stuff...

Gasthof Bauernschänke Eck-Fritz
(Booking, Details & Location)

IIRC, this place was built in the 16th century..... We stayed in the very top front room; 40E/nacht, fruhstuck inklusiv.

And this is what I drove for the four years I lived in Mannheim. Dear god, the looks on the faces of those unfortunate Opel drivers who encountered that grille coming down the other way on narrow mountain roads.... oh so priceless.

(@TAOWs german girl comment)

/\ So true. And true story, my brother married a german girl (he's american).

At the wedding he told this story about her which was pretty funny, but it was much longer at the wedding. He asked her *9* times to go out with him. And everytime he did it he tried a new method to get her attention. She shot him down ever single time lol.

The 9th time he sees her on an elevator and is in a black suit with a walk talkie on. He works for At&T but was also a volunteer EMT at the time. This was at some training seminar they met at for computers but they worked different jobs. She asked him what he did for a living and he said quote "I work on the bureau". She says "what bureau?" He says "thats classified, its the FBI but I'm not allowed to say what branch I work for".
Mind you this is a smart german girl. But she was dumb enough to fall for it at first. Meanwhile his walk talkie starts going off asking him to report to a cardiac arrest victim right down the road. She cringes her face and asks "what branch of the FBI deals with heart attack victims?" He says "they don't, I work volunteer EMT on the side (good come back imo)". Then as their leaving the elevator now she's all interested in him, and asks to see his badge. At this point he fumbles completely and doesn't know how to respond. Within seconds she accuses him of being a lying asshole. Craziest thing is right afterwards he asked her out and she said yes, have now been married like 20 years.

Germans definitely do hate americans, but some of them don't I guess. =]

I never had any problems with the vast majority of z' Germans..... And they all are quite open with their appreciation for our presence.
But besides GI's hunting Boche beauties to rack up with, nothing gets German blood up more than Americans living there who make no effort to avoid being "ugly American tourists".

even hung out and saw couple punk shows at the local German equivalent of YMCA on a regular basis....
only it was a den of anarchist, red, and anti-fa kids. It took them a while to figure out we were Americans.... and it turns out we still carry a lot of weight for kicking so much Nazi ass back in the day. 8)

The French were a different story.... I never got anything but static from the frogs for being American. They have a serious short-term memory problem when it comes to figuring out who's deserving of a little respect.
