Tattoos

absolutely none...not even a piercing or anything. I'm proud of my virginal untouched body ;)
the only reason I'm posting this though is to continue in the Pillcat tradition of being part of the 'misuse of apostrophies' police. That subject shouldn't have an apostrophe!!! how frustrating. :)
 
I'm getting the Tolkein rune on my back, but it's just so goddamn expensive to have a personalised design!
Who wants to have a skull, an eye ball, love heart, snake or any combination of the afore mentioned tatts.
 
Okay... i have a BlueBird on my back to the right and above my ass.. the reason i got it...well... its a bird of happiness.... whenever i think about it i cant stop smiling :) :) ..
Just recentley i got a bumble bee on my left ankle.......its so cute.. :) ... but i dont have a reason for it..........
 
I got my some great body art, 7 tattoos.... ummm too busy to describe them all at the moment....Will explain em all later! There's a pic of one of them in the Bluelight pic pages.... :)
 
I've got a red devil/dragon on 1 ankle, and I'm getting an angel on the other (when I have spare cash) - to depict the 2 sides om me eg; good/bad
also a big WARNING to anyone that want to get their first tat - TATOOS ARE ADDICTIVE (must be the drugs they mix in with the ink??)
 
I only recently got my first tattoo . Its a high detail bio mechanical landscape running from my shoulder to just above my elbow .Bones and machine with eyes and skulls breaking through my skin would best describe it :) . Got the idea from www.hrgiger.com who is the person responsible for designing the alien and nest in the alien(s) series of movies ,and yes very very addictive :) .Im designing my next tattoo based on some more of his art which should be ready in a few weeks.........cant wait.

i agree wif belky21... once you get one...... you want another and another....just like body piercing......... once you get one... you have to get more......
altho i am considering getn another one but with my bro.... kinda a family thing u see.......
 
I have a japanese cahracter on my back, just above my butt on my left side, it means truth and integrity. You're the only one that can be true to yourself :) . Course, that doesn't mean I don't bend the rules occasionally... and yes I do want another one! It's making the decision of what and where that kills me!
My BF has three piercings in each ear: one has an orbital thru his lobe (involves two piercings, with one earring sharing both holes), and one thru his traegus (the bit you press on when you block your ears). In the other he has a simple one through the lobe, one high up on the ear, and one through the weird folding bits above the ear hole. That one hurt and bled quite a bit, but he says it's worth it :) .

I have a pisces symbol on my back, on the left, above my ass...
Its not big, so it doesnt stand out too much, which is what I wanted, because I got it for myself, not to show it off to people..
I got a pisces symbol because it represents who I am, and it is something which will mean something to me forever.
It isnt a phase, (I cant just decide to not be a pisces anymore) so hopefully I will appreciate it forever.
I believe in star signs to a certain extent. I do not read my star sign in the paper, but I do appreciate astrology, and I like to think that star signs are accurate enough to express a person's personality.
I am interested in it, and respect the research and personality traits of certain times of the year.
AND no, this doesnt mean that every pisces in the world is "an introvert" (for example), they all vary, there are different characteristics for each day of the year etc..
I got it because I wanted a tattoo, and I wanted something that wasnt flashy, something simple, and meant something.
ANYWAY i got a tat and i like it :) and thats all it comes down to isnt it :D

i have three tattoo's with another in the process now.
my first is an angel/fairy. it was designed by a friend as my guardian angel its on the left side of my belly just below my undy line.
my second is the chines symbol for friend, my best friend and i each got it and thats on my left ankle.
my third is a tribal design of a bat and that goes across my back just above my bum.
my fourth will be the celtic design for eternity and that will go on my shoulder, and my boyfriend (BFB) will also be getting it and is also designing it. no explaination needed for why we are getting that.

I got a one on my left sholder..... (seems like a lot of people prefer the left side of the body... from what i have seen in the prev posts.)
It's a dagger with a rose wrapped around it and a blood drop coming off the bottom of the dagger.... i got it when i was 17 (Tatto artist:Are you 18? Me:Yes. Tatto artist: Do you have id?? Me:I didn't know you had to have id... he he he) and i got it because of some personal difficulties i was going through and it was there to remind me that everything will be ok... nowadays it shows me that i was right and things do get better....
As people have mentioned above, they are dam addictive, because they are dam cool :) and become such a part of you (even though there are times when i forget i have it and then see it in the mirror and go "what the??" he he he) Only thing stopping me now from getting another one (3 years later) is a lack of a real good idea and my girlfriend....she hates em...
What about everyone else's respective partners?? Does your other half love or hate your tat(s)??

I have a Celtic armband around my right arm which was actually doodled while I was on the phone one day. I have two chinese symbols on my left shoulder blade one is a good luck omen/symbol the other one is my last name.
The next (as Noc_chick said) will be an eternity symbol. I will be getting that on my Neck below the shirt line.
Although I do like tatoos, I do think there is a line where you have too much. I also believe that even in today's society tattoo's are still frowned upon by many, which is why ALL of mine can be hidden VERY easily with normal clothing. Im not worried about your avereage Joe Bloggs... but career prospects may be hampered by someone judging this book by its cover :)

GlowGurlz: I seen your tattoo's they are sooo cute :) especially that lil' birdie i love it...
I'm thinking of maybe getting a tattoo in the future, though just a small one, but not sure of what to get just yet.
 
Fuel: my BF has no prob with my tatt and actually thinks it's sexy cos I've gone out of my way to be self expressed. He does the same with his piercings, although I don't think he'd get a tatt - too much committment (you can always take a bolt out I guess!). Dunno why I went with the left side, I just did! They are addictive, but I don't wanna go overboard. And the other reason I got it where I did was to not hamper my career prospects either. Working in white collar gov work is very conservative *sigh*, but then once they hire you it's very hard to fire you... hmmm! ;-)
