tapering off clopzapine

Has anyone gotten off Clozapin on their own? I've gone 3mg to 2mg without harm. (which I'm proud of, so far). Being on a anti psychotic, does that mean I have to be on one? I had a doctor in Colorado that put me on everything, liberally), Anything you know post here. No bad questions. Or you have gone off other psychiatric medicine.

What was it prescribed for? Schizophrenia?

If you suffered from a condition that was controlled by antipsychotics, going off may result in that conditions re-emergence.

That said, there are a fair amount of cases in which antipsychotics have been inappropriated prescribed. In those cases, clearly the patient is better off without them. Unfortunately no one here can evaluate whether or not you fall in this category.

As far as the tapering, I'm a little confused with your "2mg to 3mg" as i believe the lowest they come in is 25mg.
