Sympty Five Year Anniversary Party, 10-26-02, Key Skate, Bronx

anyways I'm most definitely trying to have a good-ass time at this party. So if anyone wants to meet-up with me & my 2 friends (hottie girls) ;) just hit me up.
Virgin to the "Key Skate" & virgin to a Sympty party, but defintely not a virgin to partying & have a good time so I'm still there!

yeah man me and my crew are too! just look for two doods with huge afros, assuming they let us in with them...
if you are with a group of people who you enjoy their company, and you're there just for the music and to dance, which rarely actually happens anymore, then go for it.
why else go? were taking a crew of like 20 ppl from our town and most of em havent even done drugs before nor care to.

i cancelled my "other" weekend plans so i'm now def down for this party saturday. hope to meet some bl'ers there. i'll have a 3/4 length black and white tee that says gs.c and a black vest on.
 
well its almost that time. Everyone have crazy fun thats going!!
I'll be sportin black UFOs, bright-ass white shirt, black ADIDAS headband around neck & a navy blue ETHNICS visor, ROCKIN somewhere/everywhere on the dancefloor with my peeps cause thats why we're going!!
and I'll be on the look out for those HUGE afro puffs hahaha
 
^ yeah man im just wearin khaki n green caffiene pants with a green longsleeve shirt, and if i dont have the fro on ill have a green beanie on (the mask and fro get hot after like 10 mins so there is no way im wearin em all night!)
so no info on shirts off then? then im not going to all the trouble to paint my chest in some whacky tribal getup. thatda been phatty tho!

I suppose that since there's nothing else to do tonight, I'll be there. Look for me. I'll be wearing black ufo's and a long sleeve black shirt with a stylized yellow dj on the front.
 
heh i dunno what everyone was talking bout there shady security for...
I walked in with my mask and fro on, and the guy laughs hysterically at me and says "wow keed, you noooot even scary," pats me on the back, and sends me through the door with out even checking me. Most of my friends got a tap on the pants and walked through. They were fairly nice individuals as far as im concerned.
But dayuum every fuckin room in there was either way too hot or way too cold! My little getup was like wearing a sweater for my face, so I lost them reeeal quick.
MOST of the dj's sets sucked horribly, but there were a few really good ones. Pleasurehead vs X-dream blew me away. Venom was good too.
People were rather unfriendly tho. Me and my friends had a good time, but the thuggish atmosphere provided for an unusual vibe heh.
wasnt worth 40$, but wasnt a bad night either.

Odds are sympty finally used their own security rather than the key skates security....
As for the shady people there, key skate is bts heaven, or fake bts, just people lookin to start trouble. ive seen fights break out there before, even chick fights woohoo.

Hi! Someone from BL came up to me early in the night. I forgot who though. I just wanted to apologize for being so spazstic. I had just gotten in and was looking for a friend whom I haven't seen in a few month.

So that party was not that bad. I mean after reading everybodies thoughts on the venue and all, me & my friends had an OK time. Got there kindof late past 12something, had to drive to upstate NY to friends, then drive back down. Anyways got in, no problems with security and the frisking action. Walked around, took in the scene & vibe. OK so people weren’t really friendly, but who cares, the hotties I was with are the ones I care to impress. And allot of kandikids came out too, so I guess they kept the balance between “the thugs & the love.” (huh)
Anyways went into the main rink area which is pretty big & was HELLA smokey from their fog machine. I was standing right in-front trying to see who was spinning, but couldn't see past all that smoke, it was just madd dark & smokey in that big area. As for pleasurehead’s set, that was the best I thought of ALL the djs that spun that night. Adam X also was also good. Other djs I missed cause we got there kindof late.
And in checkin out the DnB area I thought only Odi had a good set. The sound system in there was pretty terrible though. I thought they had the bass turned up too high, that first it got distorted and second totally drowned out all the lyrics. Listening to Odi I couldn’t hear clearly the lyrics especially when he mixed in several hip-hop songs including some from Mobb Deep. That first room which was lite up was the best spot that night, where pleasurehead & others spun. Allot of energy so that’s where we spent majority of the time. So overall just being OK, not bad of an event. Sorry guy (the WOOD), didn’t see any “afros”, I saw couple of other people with interesting costumes. Saw 2 “raver cops” (one was the same “raver cop” I saw @ Boo), saw “Mary” (from “Mary had a little lamb” storybook), saw several Brittany Spears/naughty catholic girl outfits, ;) & saw the usual “thug” outfits. Anyways I it was OK checking out for the first time the “key skate”

That was me I think. I recongized your costume. No big deal... the funny part was later on that night I was handing out lollypops when I saw you again. I gave you one, then as I went to say Hello to you ... I totally forgot where I thought I knew you from... got confused and walked away...
eh, it was one of those nights.
