Hey peoples!
Not sure how this will go down, but have any of you ever thought of having a meet up in the day - which ISN'T a rave etc?
Just a thought ...
Perhaps something like that - people would actually remember.
What do you all think?
YAY/NAY ??

i thought someone started a thread like this a while ago.
just go to the next utopia most of us go to them.

Great minds think alike!!
I was about to post something like this myself :)
My idea was maybe we could all meet up somewhere in north sydney (are there any parks around there?) on a sunday for a picnic etc, then if anyone wants to stick around, head over to sounds in the late afternoon.
How's 30th March??

NOO!!
Don't go to the tav, you'll regret it ;)
Mmm, i could walk home - though it is a fair walk, but hey i did it uber trashed on Xmas eve, so it can be done again.
On second thoughts, goto the tav! Haha, maybe if theres enough bluelight scum there we can block out the rest of the scumminess, with considerable amounts of alcohol...
But if you were considering a sober meetup.. NO NO NO to tha tav
star_beats: ello :) Long time no speak, hope you doin well

Why don't we make it somewhere int he city, that way it's sort of central to everyone? Castle Hill is a bit of a trek from here, and it's even further from South Sydney...
Don't know where would be best, but i think the city is definately the way to go...
Also, could we maybe make it a little later in the year, like mid april or something?
Just a thought... :)

BopGirl, since you suggested it maybe you should just have a big bluelight party :P
Castle Hill Tav is preety shit, picnic idea doesnt sound to bad, maybe if you are thinking of something central, perhaps Centenial Park ?

^^^^isnt that where we ran into each other ;) j/k
im not trying to bring this to down or anything...but sydney SUCKS FOR MEETUPS!!!we had had other threads started bout this before and ideas seem to fizzle.the last meetup non rave thing we had was organised by moocho which was great and we had a bbq and played cricket and stuff at maroubra beach.that was christmas time 01 i think...*dam memory*
i mean people seriouslly we cant even do a proper meet up at an event...im all for organising a bluelight non event meetup but it is alot of work.trying to arrange it around everyone and organising things work and stuff.

I reckon somewhere in the city on a Friday night. I work between Town hall and Wynyard and am always in the city somewhere or other, as i'm sure are a lot of the rest of you. I don't really mind where. It'll be a lot easier to get people to if they don't have to alter their schedules too much.

Yea the Christmad BBQ we had was a heap of fun.
I recomend something similar to that. It was a really fun and relaxing way to spend a day :)

I cant beleive how many people are close to castle hill tavern????
my god. i live close to there. but no, castle hill tavern in all honesty is probably not a good choice. botanical gardens is good. or something along those lines.
actually i know. - next to the grand hyatt down past the rocks. just before the syd dance company there is a grass space there, just under the harbour bridge.

Cool, so we can have our foto taken with tourists too... Bonus :D
I'll be up for this. A picnic type arrangement sounds like a good idea, food games and nature :) Hopefully I wont be working the weekend we choose...

Its already in the piplines, shhhhhhhh. ;)
And as for a Bluelight Meetup. Like flutter said its been done before and very succesfully might i add. The SYD BL BBQ a few years back was great fun, and heaps of BLers turned up. We had it at Maroubra Beach in the afternoon and played cricket and got upto all sorts of mischif. ;)
Don't ask if people WANT to come, TELL them their comming, and they will. :D Get it organised and they'll be there.

What about Centennial Park? Big piss up and bbq in the park and then for those who are keen we head out clubbing ...
So that lots of people can attend - I'd say make it a fair way away ... how about ummm ...
2nd Saturday in April? What's the date then?
YAY/NAY?
