FYI, I'm got more of the same antibiotics from the Doc (Z-Pack) and I'm feeling way better again. Got tested for mono and I'm gonna talk to an actual doctor in a few days to get fixed up.
It was funny when I went in with all this information about mono I read online to the nurse practitioner and she agreed with most of it, started quizzing me on mono, and then it ended by me telling her some facts about it. Internet 1, Nurse 0.
Well I'm guessing it was exacerbated by smoking lots, poor oral hygiene, and a stressful job.
P.P.S., To anyone else with a similar problem, by far the best non medical solution is just relentless oral hygiene and rinsing with salt water after you put anything in your mouth. Ibuprofen is the best too because of it's anti-inflammatory properties.
