hey, everybody, Badfish is going to devote more time to school, music and getting healthy. He's stepping down as moderator but I wanted to make a thread to honor his work here in TDS as well as to let him know how much he means to all of us.

Badfish and I were each other's first friends on Bluelight. I came here grieving the recent death of my son and he came here looking for information on heroin addiction out of concern for a friend. The unlikely nature of our friendship is underscored by the fact that he was one of the youngest members on Bluelight and I am one of the oldest. We talk about his struggles with his parents, struggles with weed, problems at school or with his relationships and I am always left thinking, "This kid is amazing. I hope his parents realize what an incredibly honorable son they have."

I love his taste in music, his humor, his big heart and his humility. I also admire his passion and his loyalty to his friends. He really believes in Bluelight's mission of harm reduction and TDS' mission of mutual support.

I'm hoping that without the stress of moderating, we are going to see more, not less, of him.

Badfish, here's to you, a stellar human being!<3

Badfish, I'm so sorry to see you leaving but I'm excited to watch and see what life has in store for you next. You're such a wise person and have been a huge asset to BL and TDS. Thank you so much for being a friend to me and helping me out during some hard times. Much love, B! <3 <3 <3

goodluck man. I know you'll be popping in from time to time. thanks for helping tds run smoothly. much love to ya, best of luck in school, and keep on keeping on.

You are the man Badfish. It has been good to be along side you in TDS.
I believe you have always done an amazing job at reaching out to others on this forum.
All the best for 2013

I don't really know you Badfish but any person who gives their own time to be a moderator especially on TDS is someone who is certainly worthy of our thanks and appreciation.
I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

badfish, you've always been exceptional in every area you involve yourself in (online and off).

Some day... this world will be YOURS <3

Hey Badfish :)

You were the 1st person to ever reach out to me on Bluelight, and I thank you for that. I hope you find what you're looking for out of life; you're a great person who has so much to offer to the world.

I'm so glad to have this experience. I have met some of the most wonderful people on here and gained some of the most valuable knowledge that I use in my everyday life off of Bluelight and TDS. TDS was a changing point in my life and I still sit and daydream about the day I first came on here. I still daydream about the days I'd sit in class wishing i could do nothing more than be home and posting on Bluelight. My fellow mods are some of the most wonderful people I have gotten the pleasure of knowing. Jan, you are simply one of the most wonderful people I know, and I consider you to be one of my closest friends. Your wisdom has had an echoing effect on my life, and I just can't wait until the day we get to meet each other face to face. Thanks for all of the great times everyone. You can expect to still see me around from time to time.

Wow, only just seen this. Badfish, there's a risk here that what follows will sound a tad patronising which of course is not my intention at all but FWIW you've always struck me as someone's got a wise old head on your shoulders beyond your years. Can only bode well for your future man, whatever direction you choose to go in. As a TDS mod think you've more than held your end up and done your bit, in your own style, constantly reaching out to others and being a solid source of support and that aforementioned wisdom. Thanks for that, seriously. I wish you every possible success for the future fella. Be sure to keep us updated won't you, you'd be missed.

Much love to you. <3

It was a true pleasure getting to know the guy behind the username during the course of your mod-ship, B.

This isn't good-bye; not by a long shot. As others have said, you're extremely compassionate and caring - well beyond your years. Cherish that, for it is one of the most valuable assets someone your age can have. And as I'm sure you're aware, you're one of very few teenagers that has the value, depth and breadth of insight likely to ensure that you achieve all that you hope to achieve in all your endeavors.

Thank you for your time on the active crew.
I've said this to you before, but DO NOT be a stranger. I'll find you.
;) ;) ;)

Be well, my friend.
With all the love our team has to offer,

~ Jamie

Baddy, my man, it's been an honor working with you and also meeting you in person. You are an amazingly compassionate and smart individual. You have my full support in your choice to focus on school and life in general at the moment. I do hope to see you as often as possible when you get some free time. Friendships never end.

I know the planets of course will align again one day and we'll get to meet in person as well. Until then we'll always be the good ole texting/facebook/BL friends. <3

A song dedicated to you: The Past is a Grotesque Animal by Of Montreal

The line: "But you know, no matter where we are, we're always touching by underground wires." make me think of our friendship.

Love you doood <3 <3 <3!
