Hi everyone, I am new here and this is my first post. I have been on subs for a little longer than 2 years and I am on 6 mg. I have also been feeling slightly depressed lately. I have tried adderall as an anti depressant and I find that it works well for me. My question is whether or not subs and adderall are good to mix over an extended period of time or will it just end up making me more depressed. If anyone has experience with this combo please let me know. Thanks.

Adderall is good if you take breaks. Otherwise you'll lose the magic and it doesn't come back for quite some time. Dexedrine is a much better drug since it doesn't have the l-amp isomer that causes all the uneccesary PNS stimulation.

Dexedrine came out before Adderall and was the pure form of d-amp that provides a much smoother CNS effect with very minimal effects on things like heart rate, blood pressure, anxiety, etc. When the patent expired Shire changed the formula to a racemic (d,l-amp) mix called Adderall and naturally it was the 'new miracle cure' and thus overtook Dexedrine. Therefore Adderall is generally Rx'd before Dexedrine due to habit of the prescriber, not necessarily because it's a better drug. Most sequals to patented drugs aren't as good as the originals.. kind of like movies.

I was able to get switched to Dexedrine after experiencing too much vasoconstriction from Adderall and giving my shrink a lecture about how different isomers of amphetamine work on the body - lol.

Damn, thanks man! I'll see if my doc will let me try it. It sounds way better than adderall. Do you have any experience with how it reacts with subs overtime? I have heard things like taking it for too long can make both less effective overtime. Thanks.

Well it causes massive dumps of your brain's main reward chemical - dopamine, so yes, like any dopamine-releasing drug it will cause downregulation/desensitization of the receptors thus leading to a deficiency of dopamine, which feels bad.

Take breaks, as in Mon-Fri on, Sat & Sun off.
