Hello there, this is my first post so sorry if I say something stupid. Anyway...
I have been on Suboxone for 2-3 years and i have decided to finally come off them, although it was not totally my idea. (Parents really wanted me off the stuff) Anyways i jumped off at 2 mg per day, or 1 mg twice a day. I thought that was a pretty low dose to jump off at but after reading into it seems people go much lower. However I managed to make it about 2 weeks, so most of the physical withdrawal symptoms were gone besides my pits sweating like sprinklers 24/7. However the insomnia was just destroying my life. At one point I had not slept for between 4-5 days straight and felt I was going to soon loose my mind. I had already called out sick from work multiple times so I was worried about getting fired. I should mention i work with meat slicers so I couldn't go to work on 4-5 days without sleep without cutting my hand off. So I took .5 mg sub to get a good nights sleep, which worked pretty well. I guess i should also mention that my doc gave me Clonidine which worked for one night but now it just makes me a zombie, a dry mouth zombie, to the point that it is as bad as not sleeping at all.
Considering all this my question is will the clock on my withdrawal time reset after being off for 2 weeks and then taking a .5mg dose, or will the one small dose just add 1-2 days onto the total withdrawal time. I am worried I wasted the 2 weeks of struggle by taking this one dose.
So anyone know how the suboxone blood levels or whatever you call it would work in this situation? Did I screw up and restart the clock or did i make the right choice to get a must needed nights sleep.
