Hello all,
I am a new poster but am most definitely not a new user to this site, but if I am posting this in the wrong forum please forgive me.
I have been using opiates pretty much everyday for about a year and a half now. It started with hydrocodone as it does for many people, and after about 5 months its been oxy and dope for the rest of the way pretty much. My average use is about 4-6 bags of some decent shit (always insufflated), or 120-160 mg of oxy (orally sadly because of the new op formulation). For the past month though i have been using methadone; about 60 mg a day sometimes more if i want to get fucked up. I really like the fact that I can take just one dose in the morning and not have to worry about withdrawal and going out and copping, but it just makes me way too tired and lazy and I actually feel less productive which has made me realize that I really want to switch over to suboxone. I currently have around 60 of the 2 mg suboxone pills which if i could get on them I could save a ton of money and in the past i have had very good results with suboxone (btw I am paying street prices for the methadone because i did not go to a clinic and it is pretty much costing me the same amount as dope did to get high for a day). I have tried twice to switch to the suboxone and have gone through precipitated wds both time which has lead me to start the methadone all over again. Both times I have gone off the methadone and started up dope for 5 days getting me clean from the methadone for at least 108 hrs and then waiting 21-24 hrs after the dope until i felt wds. Then i would insufflate aprox. 1 mg of suboxone just to see if i got pds and as soon as i did it i was just like "o shit not again...".
So my question are if i go through precipitated wds and ride it out til the next morning will i be able to take suboxone again, or could it send me into precipitated withdrawals. And my second question is what is the best way to get around the methadone and get on suboxone without going through pds and i would really like someone to answer who has actually switched from methadone to suboxone. Thank you all any help is appreciated. And I have UTFSE many times for an answer to the first question so dont tell me to UTFSE or go to the megathread lol.
