Like alot of people, I started taking hydros about 8 years ago due to a shoulder injury. Thats when the train first started rolling. I had a simple rotator cuff tear and my doctor was so gullible I talked him into 240 dro tens a month plus 10 100mcg fent patches per month(crazy hey?). So I did that for about a year and bad things happened of course and I got cut off. I didnt know what was happening as I had never felt like that before. It scared me. So I was clean off opiates for 3 years and I started this job and it started again because the owner paid me in hydros. So, a few months later I was introduced to the morphs and the needle. It was a horrible time, lost friends, lost my job, lost all trust from family etc. So I got on the suboxone program, which now, looking back, I regret. I should have just suffered it out. 16 months on it and I managed to get down to 1.5mg with ease and I decided to quit the program due to how much it costs(over 300 bucks for visit + RX) and of course I started buying them off a friend. FINALLY, just last week I had my phone number changed, blocked my FB account to have no way to get any. I didnt have any cravings or anything but its been 6 days and it hasnt been easy. Ive read all the horror stories and I can tell you that alot of them are exaggerated. Now my qeustion is: If someone abruptly stops the sub and takes a few hydros or in my case T3's to take the edge off and then stops them after a week, will that set me back as far as my symptoms or will it just help me function until the sub is out of my body and I can just quit taking the T3's? Last night I ran out of them and I took a 4mg dilaudid and it actually made me sick. Im just wondering how much longer I can expect to feel like crap. I have so many responsibilites and a week off is all I can do. Once this is over, I will never look back! Its hard to stay strong. Appreciative of any advice given.
