you leave the blindfold just high enough
that if I crane my neck
I see the one who's fucking me now
and the ones who wait their turn

you read my grunts and moans too well
you know which ones are for play
which ones are for real
and you always heed the ones that are real

you always ask for permission

you've never hurt me
not really

you've never used me
not like they do

at the end
you send them home
the men who don't care

there's always a kiss
a caress
apologies in your tone

it's so hard to love you
when you treat me this way
