Hi there,

We are a group of researchers from the University of Fribourg and the ALPS Foundation in Switzerland. We're interested in better understanding how various characteristics of a person's mindset and environment ("set and setting") impact psychedelic trips, and we're recruiting for an online study in order to find out!

The study is an online survey which takes about 30 minutes, and all responses will be completely anonymous. The study began in October 2023 and will run in 2024 until we reach our recruitment goals. If you participate, you will be asked questions about a recent psychedelic experience, the set and setting in which you had this experience, and its impact on your life (if any).

Why Participate?

By participating in this survey, you will be helping us expand the knowledge about psychedelics and their effects on people. You can also win an Amazon gift card!

Who can participate?

You can participate if you…
  • … are over 18,
  • … understand English fluently, and
  • … had an experience with a psychedelic drug (or “trip”) between 1 and 12 months ago.
For this study, psychedelic drugs include LSD, psilocybin (“magic”) mushrooms, DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, mescaline, 2C-B, ayahuasca, MDMA, and ketamine.
What do I get for participating?

After you finish the survey, you may enter a drawing to win a 50CHF ($50 / 50€) gift card for the Amazon store of your choice. Winners will be selected randomly and notified via e-mail after the study is over. Your e-mail address will not be connected to your data in any way.
