strattera having effects on nmda receptors

so i was re-reading the nuerotransmitters effected by atomoxetine

having an affinity over 1,000 (somewhere like 1,400nm) for the DAT it seems a pretty garbage psychostimulant for recreational value
BUT it is listed at having significant affinity as an NMDA receptor antagonist at theraputic (let alone recreational doseages)

anyone have any insight on this

Don't do it. Its a NRI, that will never be fun.

Strattera is as far away from recreational as you can possibly get, any NMDA antagonist properties are going to be minimal at best.

Strattera is the most piece of shit drug on the market. Not only is there no recreational potential but everyone I know who's tried it for ADHD said it either didn't help or made their ADHD worse. I've seen ONE report of someone saying it worked well and for all we know that's a placebo. Best thing to do with it is throw it away.

i figured that it was a small blockade at best, if it was a sufficent nmda antagonist it would have people abusing the shit out of like dxm or pcp, i just had to ask because i was curious
btw for anyone thinking about abusing A its only an Nri and B (in my very early days tried this) railling it is gunna burn worse that anything youve experienced and is gunna burn for at least 2 hours afterwards it fuckin hurts

It helped me. It wasn't that good for concentration as the stimulants amphetamine or methylphenidate but there was less emotional blunting. I didn't took very much compared to the recommended dosage. When taking more I got nausea and I felt a bit dizzy. Sniffing also didn't have a recreational effect. I don't think recreational use is possible. Think I read that this medication can also be used when there is the concern that the patient might use the medication for recreational issues.
