Strange sensation in mouth?

Okay, this is kinda weird and has never happened before. Yesterday I was with my boyfriend and I went to pack my pipe with some weed and just before I hit it, he said to be careful and take it easy cause it had dusties in it. Supposedly very potent. Anyways, I was slow when I pulled and all and it was nice, but afterwards I kept getting this strange tingling/sensitive sensation on the back of my tongue and throat that would come and go like a strange throb.

That happened for a little while afterwards, but not for the rest of the night. Today, it started back up in the afternoon, persisted for a little while, stopped for a few hours, and has just returned again. Very weird indeed. I'm not worried, just curious.

Has anyone had this same sensation? Or any explanation?

Weed that's been mulled up really really fine so it's like dust, I think. Or the weed that sticks to your grinder/muller of choice, and is very very fine. Boyfriend has months worth of the stuff on his coffee grinder lid.

ahh keif. it can be harsh, and i find burning bits can fall thru the gauze. as my bong is made of glass i can see little "shooting stars" as the flaming particles of weed fly down into the water. perhaps you have singed your tongue smoking this thru a pipe?

^^ i second that

does the sensation comeback after you eat something?

It wasn't harsh for me at all, was quite smooth and enjoyable actually. But yeah, maybe it was a burn of some sort.

The sensation just happens at random, and no, I find it usually stops/weakens down if I have food in my mouth or I'm drinking.
