stoners, super skinny

It probably has little to do with the fact that these "skinny" people smoke weed and more to do with their metabolism, activity level, and diet. Also, what's your definition of "skinny"? It seems anyone who's not morbidly obese nowadays is referred to as skinny, and in America, over 50% of the population is overweight. Fat is the new thin, or at least the new normal.

Some people can eat nothing but Hot Pockets and cheesecake, lay around the house all day, and STILL be underweight or normal for their height, while others can never expect to be that thin no matter how little they eat or how much they work out. It's all about metabolism, which is partly genetic, partly unique to the individual, and partly influenced by daily lifestyle choices. As we age, our metabolism slows down, causing most of the formerly "skinny" folks to have to increase their activity level and eat better to maintain their figure. It happened to me when I turned 24 out of the blue--though I hadn't changed my eating/exercise habits, I gained about 30 lbs. that has been very hard to lose. Prior to that I weighed around 100 lbs. all my adult life :(

"THIS COUNTRY IS FULL OF FAT ASSES. BLAH BLAH" We don't even know where the fuck your from so how the hell is that useful for any of us to know? Nor is the rest of this forum from there and your country isn't the center of attention, your most likely from u.s.a. No need for further off topic flaming.

I've never considered myself skinny, so I dunno why people same as me are being considered skinny.

Hi Canada! %)

So, after all the above, you made the same point as me.

I'm not from the USA, by the way. And the country where I live is not the country where I am from. But it does not matter a great deal. Obesity is a global epidemic - and the standard of what (males especially) should weigh seems to be revised constantly upward wherever one goes.

So, as I said already in my first post, you may perceive yourself as underweight due to societal norms adjusting constantly - but could in fact be a normal, healthy size for your type.

* Globally, there are more than 1 billion overweight adults, at least 300 million of them obese.
* Obesity and overweight pose a major risk for chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer.
* The key causes are increased consumption of energy-dense foods high in saturated fats and sugars, and reduced physical activity.

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, with more than 1 billion adults overweight - at least 300 million of them clinically obese - and is a major contributor to the global burden of chronic disease and disability. Often coexisting in developing countries with under-nutrition, obesity is a complex condition, with serious social and psychological dimensions, affecting virtually all ages and socioeconomic groups.

Increased consumption of more energy-dense, nutrient-poor foods with high levels of sugar and saturated fats, combined with reduced physical activity, have led to obesity rates that have risen three-fold or more since 1980 in some areas of North America, the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific Islands, Australasia and China. The obesity epidemic is not restricted to industrialized societies; this increase is often faster in developing countries than in the developed world.

Obesity and overweight pose a major risk for serious diet-related chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer. The health consequences range from increased risk of premature death, to serious chronic conditions that reduce the overall quality of life. Of especial concern is the increasing incidence of child obesity.
Why is this happening?

The rising epidemic reflects the profound changes in society and in behavioural patterns of communities over recent decades. While genes are important in determining a person's susceptibility to weight gain, energy balance is determined by calorie intake and physical activity. Thus societal changes and worldwide nutrition transition are driving the obesity epidemic. Economic growth, modernization, urbanization and globalization of food markets are just some of the forces thought to underlie the epidemic.

As incomes rise and populations become more urban, diets high in complex arbohydrates give way to more varied diets with a higher proportion of fats, saturated fats and sugars. At the same time, large shifts towards less physically demanding work have been observed worldwide. Moves towards less physical activity are also found in the increasing use of automated transport, technology in the home, and more passive leisure pursuits.

6'1 super skinny,21,i smoke every day mainly at night.dont eat much during the day until i get stoned at night

I am from the USA....

I eat a lot...

6'0 130-140lbs....

My metabolism is just pretty crazy.... If i get sick and lose my appetite for a few days i will lose about 5lbs....

I rave frequently and also use MDMA and psychs, most of these things decrease my appetite... 2c-b gives me psychedelic munchies...

I went 3 days at a festival living off of pop rockets, pixie sticks, fun dip, oranges, designer drugs, and pot.... some actual food was eaten on the last day but i couldn't finish it...

personally, i'm 5'4" and weigh 135lbs. i consider myself pretty small and i'm working hard to put on more weight, so any guy that's nearly half a foot taller than me and weighs less than i do qualifies as skinny in my book.

I lost weight when I first started smoking. That because I started doing stuff though!
After I lost the weight, I stopped doing as much stuff and stopped losing weight. It really comes down to things like what you eat, activitys you do, and the other drugs you take (i.e. amphetamine).

okay well i'm 5'10 and weigh 120 lbs
i dont really do any physical activity, really all me and my friends do is smoke and chill

i really dont eat all day....i have about 1 to 2 meals a day but they're big meals and mainly junk food hahaha, but i'll also eat fruits and vegetables as well and drink water and orange juice and shit.

and another thing one of you said is how maybe i think i'm superbly disgustingly skinny because societies norms are to be fat and that what i look like is actually normal....idk, but i really need to start working out. yeah i may be super skinny, but its all just skin and bones xD...hella disgusting if you ask me.
