The streets are empty,
thick of sleep
Evacuated
like someone called
in a bomb-threat

Seep through my keyhole,
sink between tissue sheets
Pour yourself into me,
like champagne fills
a paper-cup

Behind the plucked branches
of my ribs, cling to me
like cellophane
Hide with me, smother me
before you disappear
again

My attempts to ward off dawn
are futile,
at best
And as daylight drives you
back into shadows
I whisper,
"Stay"

Very Nice work. I always have a read.

I also sometimes write poems it helps me deal with the fact im goin to die soon n being young its a head fuck but by doin these not only helps me deal with it but also gets it off my chest n i somehow feel better.

English was never a strong point n i dnt claim to be great but its real n from the heart.
I wrote this on tuesday this week n thought it was ok.

Slightly embarrassing as only me an my daughter n sometimes my mother get to read them bur ill post it up all the same.

Keep it up i love reading your work n wish id have a better vocabulary

Another day and im all alone. 14 hours spent on my phone. Waiting for him waiting for who?
You'll soon know walk a mile in my shoe , its never been easy always a struggle, money worries and debts i somehow juggle. When deep down inside i should be at rest , at home all safe in my warn nest. He watches an waits as this is my fate, knowing ilm not going to enter the gates.
He knows once i drop off im a heavy sleeper . Who is he i ask? He is the grim reaper. Why is he waiting for me what does he see. Why cant he move on and leave me to be free.
Because its his passion thats clear to see. The end is near and the future is bleak , it's taking its toll and im feeling kinda weak. But im blessed im still here this i confess but you did it all wrong look , look at this mess. Now i must go that time has come , oh how i wish i was comfortably numb!!
