SC 2 Battle.Net
Its nice to hear people talk about SC2 because I dont have it. Im at school and my internet connection flicks whatever it is im playing, or watching, which always cuts me off from games. Anyone know how to solve that 'flush packet' issue or something?
In the case you never really opened up a Brood Wars then I can see how SC2 might stand comparable to any other game. SC2 comes with a rewaxed version of SC that might add or subtract a type of newness to the haunt, but the real whammy is the map editor. It you never played Broodwars or atleast WC3's then I can see why its oddly unadvertised map editor might not interest you.
As someone mentioned it should be better then WC3's, and to say that is also assuring you "they're" going to rewax, and create, thousands of amazingly quality minigames and custom maps. The map editing tools and the online updates and expansions have given the editors such power that atleast one of the custom map games -Aeon of Strife/DOTA- has spawned into a standalone game that now sells copies for $30. Infact, two, League of Legends and Heros of something.
Thats the hope anyways. Blizzard is as big as business gets in the computer gaming industry. They spread their games out so something is always relatively new and so they always have a top selling game. I feel Blizzard never gets talked about on the regular news. I have no idea if you can invest in Blizzard, or, if as someone mentioned you go through Activision (how the hell do they own blizzard?). I also feel the older generation especially has no idea who blizzard is and that their brand name is a powerhouse when it comes to cult following. I guess the generation now was born in 1980+/- and I feel they would. Blizzard has always made quality products... dating back to the Lost Vikings on ye old Sega.
Anyways. I heard that they removed the chatrooms?? Why the hell did they do this and is the only way to message or chat with someone through email/vent? What are the best custom games right now, anything resurfacing?
One of my friends brought SC2 over but I was doing work. I did see him get rushed/have horrible allies and thus lose within the first five minutes in the majority of his games.
Thanks
