some questions about dopamine-boosting supplements

Hi-- I poked around on some old threads about dopamine supplements, but I still have a few questions. Hoping someone can help me out!

1) Seems like there isn't a consensus about the best supplement for boosting dopamine. I just picked up a complex (specifically, Dopatone) that seems to have a little of everything I've seen mentioned-- Tyrosine, Mucuna Pruiens, etc. Seems helpful so far, but for all I know, that's really just one ingredient at work, and it'd be just as efficient (and cheaper) to get just that. Any thoughts? Would I be better off with just Tyrosine supplements?

2) Is this the sort of thing I can take as needed, or do I need to take it regularly and keep it in my system? The Dopatone label says to take it three times daily, which is more than I would've guessed.

3) Any negative combinations I should know about (including just counter-productive ones that cancel each other out)? Any problems mixing any of the above supplements with clonazepam? How about weed?

Thanks!

1) I don´t know but I like L-tyrosine a lot.

2) Not only "can" you take it as needed, you also should! Tyrosine is not good for everyday consumption as tolerance develops quickly. I quess this is because the body starts to produce less of it if you ingest it daily. I use it instead of dextroamphetamine as an ADHD medication. I take 1-2 doses of dex a day but sometimes I skip the first dose of dex and take the Tyrosine instead. So far this have been an awesome way to keep dex doses low.

3) First off, you should always take it on an (very) empty stomach, preferabily in the morning, like 30 mins before you eat. You should not take it with L-trypthophan as these 2 will "battle" each other for absorption. You can take it with weed and benzodiazepines but this will most likely be counter productive.

Any particular advantage to taking Tyrosine along with something else (whether as part of Dopatone or just a separate supplement)? Or should Tyrosine on its own get the job done?

Tyrosine gets the job done for me but everyone is different. Some prefer L-dopa which is the next step for Tyrosine on its way to becoming Dopamine. This should have a stronger effect but also with a greater chance of sideeffects, mostly due to taking to big a dose.
