Testosterone replacement therapy, I go in to the doctor to get 200mg/1ml once a week intramuscularly. My levels were 461 ng/dl. I've been feeling a bit better after 2 weeks, but do you think I should go up on the dose to 400mg once a week? The doctor gave me 400mg once and I felt A LOT better. Of course I am going to the gym and have noticed huge increases on strength and muscle size. Also I will be needing to use estrogen inhibitors also. So my question to you is should I go up on the dose or stay on what I am?

The Dr's goal will be to get your testosterone levels into the normal range. It isn't clear how long you have been taking trt, nor have you told us why you are taking testosterone. Can you clarify that? Also what do your latest blood tests say your testosterone levels are at now? Although there is a lot of variation in the way people respond to the same dose and I haven't looked up what normal levels for a 16yo are, I would think 400mg/ml per week would put you way over normal levels. If I took that much it would put me more than 8 times above normal. Also high doses of exogenous testosterone carries specific risks such as premature sealing of epiphyseal growth plates in people under the age of 20. It is very unwise to take any at all at your age unless it is medically necessary.

What doctor would I go to for the same treatment.
I have only run into medical doctors that say things like "your 200 mg/dl or whatever the unit of measurement is "normal". I could use a proper wellness doctor.

I am in Australia and its possibly quite different over here, but endocrinologists are the specialist doctors trained to deal with hormone problems. If you have a specific reason why your levels are low the endocrinologist could attempt to raise your levels with certain drugs. You could add your own supplements to that as well. It is best if you can raise your testosterone levels so that you won't be relying on regular injections for the rest of your days. If there is no apparent reason and you are unable to get your test levels up you could then get an endocrinologist to prescribe testosterone.
