After a several year hiatus I've made it back onto the mountains and so happy to be out there!

I'm curious what others have to say about their experiences with slopes in the NE. Like some more than others? I've been taking the drive to the Poconos and have been surprised to find so many small places not built to take advantage of the huge mountains there. Eagle Rock, Jack Frost and Big Boulder come to mind, though BB had really fun freestyle terrain parks on virtually every other run.

Also, my gear is now 8 years old. I have no complaints of how my Ride board, K2 boots n bindings have held up but will be looking for some new shit for next year. How has the technology changed and which brands have come out on top? (Is your Burton really worth the cost?)

Ride on, would love to see any pics ya'll might have.

1st triple cork ever by Horgmo, last year but inspiring still:

^ because we've destroyesd the planet.

hey venus, you should definitely check out some new boards. if you are on the east coast, sidecut technology like magnetraction is going to make your life a lot easier. i'm spoiled by the conditions here in tahoe so a regular edge works well for me but but i have tried magnetraction is the difference is noticeable.

is my burton worth the cost? among nmy boards, i have a t6 which is definitely worth it - it carves like a kitchen knife :)

there are so many alternatives to traditional camber these days - full reverse; rocker; zero-camber; etc. i suggest you try to demo a board and see what you like.
