Snorting Vodka - Anyone but me tried it?

On Sunday morning I was kicking back in my loungeroom with a few of my (new) bluelighter buddies when I decided to snort a few 'lines' of vodka.
I was amazed to see that everyone (I think) in the room but me had never tried it! Me and my pals do it heaps, I always thought that it was fairly common.
Has anyone tried to do it? If you haven't I recommend that you try it at least once!
It's not that hard (or really dangerous) to do. Simply get a little bit of vodka in the palm of your hand and hoover away!
Try it, you wont regret it!
 
Apparently (I kid you not) in the 'cooler' bars around New York, etc, for a little while at least, it was the way to do it - just hold the vodka shot up to your nose an away you go.
Can't see it doing to much damage - assuming you don't drown! There's even a chance a bit will hit your blood stream quicker.
 
Yeah, this was a craze around five years in the UK. Suprisingly it didn't last long. It's fucking horrible.

it's not a joke people. i was there. i saw plastikman snort his vodka. damn. i was tempted to try it, but thought better not.

First go at this was the last long weekend about four weekends ago ...
I managed the Bluelight meet-up at the mighty Spleen on the Sunday night after a messy coupla nights and around about six the next morning I was introduced to snorting Vodka from an upturned shot glass [maybe 5ml] followed by copious quantities of Amyl Nitrate. After four or five of these, I basically hit psychosis street but what a suitable end to a definitely suitable 84 hours. Long live chemistry!
 
This sounds so fuckin bizarre that I just have to try it.
Or maybe I'll just trick one of my friends to try it first

I haven't seen any americans reply to this thread, or claim to have tried it. I'm sure there is a reason why they haven't responded/tryed it.

Why Vodka? Why not Scotch?
Is it the alcohol content giving you the buzz? What, does it get u drunk quicker? Please explain

It's not like amyl. It's like....well...vodka...
I'm not sure if any other high alcohol content liquor would work. I say stick to vodka (cause I love the taste of it)
How bad is it for your nasal passage? I've bled from the nose from doing it once, but I'd had a heap and snorted a fucking lot of it in one go. It's gotta be better than speed, put it that way.

i've never tried snorting Scotch...
but snorting Tequila is even more of a head fuck than Vodka....(and still tastes like shit)
...only attempt if very bored....very very bored.
 
obviously i havent been hanging around with the right people. our recoveries dont sound nearly as eventful as some of you people's do.

so you only have to do a small amount to get drunk or do you have to drink the normal way with it? i hate drinking but i love being drunk.
