ok... sooooooo, i ended up going to this party VERY last minute: link and hexxus comped me and my girl because it was her birthday... tech itch most deffinately DID show up AND spun an AMAZING set upstairs-- im not sure what time it was, at all... but he did spin. i danced my ASS off to tech itch and sweated the whole thing out up until the last track because we were dying soooooooooooo much from the heat and had to sneak up on the stage to get out the back door for a smokie without waiting on that godforsaken line. i had a *really* good time at this party, prolly the best ive had in what might actually be years... this has to do with it being my very best friend's 22nd birthday, company of some amazing kids (tuneesha, spam aka sam, jesse, steven, jeff, and very much thanx to josh aka link).
i honestly, missed just about every set downstairs-- when i arrived, delerium was spinning some hardcore shit that made me wanna bang my head against a wall, but once the dnb started upstairs it was on! of course it was *mad* hot upstairs, i mean come on...its amazura. and of course they had a semi-shady deal goin on w/ the bathroom in regards to waterbottles (ya know, those $4 waterbottles)...
we made really good friends w/ the security guards, like we always try to do: one handed me a cup of ice while upstairs sweating my ass off sitting against the wall next to the back door so i could get some air (i didnt know what it was and didnt even consider the fact it might have been ice, so i didnt accept it... then when my friend told me what he was trying to do i apologized and just said hey, when some really large black man i dont know tries to hand me a cup of something and i dont know what it is, i didnt think to accept it or ask--but thanx), he later on told my homegirl to drive real safe and get home alright because she was with me
that was really nice.
they also pulled my girl aside after an attempted beer run (ha, access to the stage back door is always interesting, especially after they stop serving), to ask her what a pill was (ahhhhhhhhh, i hate when they dont know enough about their job, but i guess thats really difficult because they ARENT party kids): it ended up being some REALLLLY weird fake pill, it was really large, like wayy too large to be a pill. it was *dusted* white but tastes LIKE an e pill at first, but it rubbed off to reveal a green speckled pill -- darker green specks--once to that layer, it tasted and smelled like DUST! ahhhhh, scary. and no, it wasnt just dust in the air, they were outside chillen, and it was really scary because it was a perfectly pressed pill, someone pressed that pill with the intention of selling it to some unsuspecting e*tard and could have been just about anything, point blank it had some really evil vibes to it. i believe they ended up finding the guilty person and threw them out (a reason for the cops who are always looking for one around 5am at amazura to shut it down and throw everyone out). we could have kept that pill though and i really wish she did because we could have brought it to dancesafe, which she didnt even think of till we had a long discussion about it afterwards this morning at home. i just hope whoever is guilty gets a fucking big ass stick up their ass because that isnt cool.
anyway, krazyglue was spinning some REALLY hot 80s as the last set i heard, i was dancing and bein a goof with my friend sam, playin w/ the breakers and poppers upstairs. jeff aka hexxus never even got to spin! THAT really sucked though b/c he spins some ammmmmazing slightly techy really amen darkass drum n bass! that would have made the end just HOT because great 80s then dnb that cant get any harder! shiiiiiiiit...
so, we suffered the heat exhaustion, got in for free, heard tech itch (again, that man always makes me dance like a maniac), chilled w/ some realllly good friends (especially the steven sightings!)... YEAHH it was the
happiest birthday this girl has been able to enjoy since she was 16, there's always some crazy escapade that ends up wrong, im soooo happy this one could be great for her.
