I dont think that many of us fellow GQ ravers. have any idea what real ecstasy feels like or is like..
Or i think that in auz there is way to many speedy bomb pillz and people think that if the pill doesn't make them speedy that it is Shit oR Smacky,
but what i think is that the Smacky pills are the The Real shit....

I think youl find there are a few ppls that do know,what its like but they have a powerfull information site that empowers them

Mate just my two cents Pleeezze!!!!! dont refer to pills as smacky arg do a search and empower yourself..I think its realy bad to relate somthing so Deadly to a drug that has changed a bit of our lives. Dont take this personaly

Hmm..RedRocker it all depends what you like. I'd much rather real MDMA and G for that g effect...Why would you want to pay $40-50 for a mix ..when the g can be bought cheaper and more of it?
Horses for course...BUT the non-pure pills are certainly NOT the bomb...
 
This topic has been discussed in great depth elsewhere (eg. here or here).
However just for a quick summary there are a couple of things to clear up. Sometimes people describe a pill as "smacky"... in my opinion, I would think it's fair to say that only someone who's never tried smack (heroin) would describe any pill thus.
Most often, people use the term "smacky" to describe the effects of a pill that in total, doesn't charge them up, or make them want to dance all night. This is common in Australia, as many people are used to speedy pills which make them run around like mad chooks rather than a clean belt of MDMA to put them on their arse in an ecstatic state. You could be right, I know a few people who when they actually get a good pill with a medium dose of MDMA, as soon as they feel the peak building up and they notice that they feel like just sitting down, they're seeking speed or speedy pills to stop them being 'smacked out' by the good pill because it's not what they're used to.
However, on the other hand when someone gets a pill with MDEA, the classic side-effects such as shortness of breath, dizzyness, stoned feeling, weak legs etc., can make them feel uncomfortable if they don't know what's going on. That kind of stoned drop with little or no loved up feelings can leave them wondering exactly what hit em.
These are two situations when people might think that an MDxx pill isn't doing the right job for them.
But just some of the time, the people you notice taking speedy pills (and maybe even describing them as smacky) might not give half a shit what's in them, as long as they get "fucked up" ... they'll be the same ones to drink themselves wretched then have speed and pills and whatever they can buy on the nite so that they can leave reality for as long as possible.
Not everyone cares how a pill 'tests' or if it's MDblah, or knows what serotonin is. Take pill descriptions with a grain of salt, see for yourself, test for yourself - then you won't have to rely on someone elses descriptions or subjective use of the (hopefully diminishing in popularity) term "smacky".

mmmm MDMA was first used by psychiatrists as an aid to get people to open up and express feelings, to discuss what they normaly would lock away. So one would assume it would be a drug that would allow the patient to be relaxed, calm and open to their feelings - correct me if I'm wrong.
I think alot of people do make the mistake of not realising what real MDMA is. We have alot of speed bombs here in OZ and many people have been consuming these pills in belief that they were eating MDMA. Having a connection to the dance scene also give poeple the perception that you have to be speeding to have all that energy to dance all night.
I am fortunate enough to have only had MDMA and I am quite happy just to sit down and enjoy the incredible feeling it gives me, to share my feelings with others. If I were only to have had speed bombs and come across MDMA I too would probably think it was a smacky pill - because thats all I ever knew.
Interested to hear other peoples thoughts!!

I have to agree that the pills that some people describe as smacky are usually the ones that are MDMA and not speedy pills.
I too have been lucky enough to always get MDMA pills (thanx to a very nice dd!!) and I know that if I was used to speedy pills I would think that these MDMA pills were a bit strange and scary.
I know when I get really good pills, because they put me on my arse (in a good way!) a bit more than the others. I usually find I am much more happy and lovey dovey with these pills than the ones that allow me to get up more.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings.....I think we should all test and be sure of what we are about to pop. MDMA = pure bliss
Anything else = total let down.

What i am leaing towards is that if you want to be up and going around all night i would suggest that you just buy speed because more often than not you will be better of spending that amount money of pure speed than on a speedy pill.... well thats my opioion i am sure many other people think this way as well...
and as for trying to get PURE BLISS get an e-z tester.......
and make sure you know what your taking is; and if it is safe...

oh well i'll just say this coz the use of that word does piss me off so much:
using the word "smacky" is the worst form of laziness, it's ill informed laziness...

This whole smacky thing is a strange issue.
When i first got a look at the *rave scene*, and the *rave drug* i expected something that would make me feel ecstatic, but also would put me in the frame of mind to dance all night. My first pill was taken in the comfy surrounds of a friends home, and looking back i would suggest twas MDMA, course being at home, there was no dancing. My second pill was taken at a club and from the insane speed i was trying to dance at, would suggest twas prolly speedy (i didnt feel much euphoria, and no smacky feeling). I assumed the difference between the two pills was because of surroundings.
Then i bought a tester (thanks to u guys) and ever since then, all i have bought is MDxx, or what dealers, and most uninformed peeps, call smacky pills.
I am still slightly suprised that MDMA is described as the *rave drug* when it doesn't encourage dancing. Don't get me wrong, i have been impressed with what i have found, but i do understand why peeps who don't know the facts and origins of MDMA don't appreciate buying smacky pills, and complain when they can't dance all night.
So basically, is it just me, or do nearly all pills that contain MDMA (supposedly) put u on your arse (ie feel smacky)? If so, do top notch pills overseas produce the same smacky feeling? If not, what am i doing wrong with my MDMA if i constantly feel like sitting in the chill out room hugging peeps rather than dancing?
Finally, i agree that smacky is an inappropriate word to use due to its connotations with other substances, but what other word describes the feeling i have been lead to believe is produced by a big MDMA hit?

there is only one more thing that concerns me with *some* people and smacky pills.....
is on pillreports.com you get people saying..
"it was a CRAZY pill it kept me up all night on the dance floor.... ect... and give it a rating on like 7..... thought this is alright that people may think yeah COOL and get that pill just cause it say " its going to keep you up all night dancing"
Then you get the other reports "The pill sucked, its was just a usaul smaky pill"
This REally really annyoes me cause The SMACKY (real XTC) pills is what you pay the amount of money you did for....
not some speed...bomb...
well yeah.. but i know that there are people out there that like speed bombs and all...
but KNOW WHAT YOUR BUYING and DONT GIVE SHIT REPORTS ON SO CALLED SMAKY PILLS...

A lot of my friends keep dipping all night, but if I have some before hand and then take a small dip some time through the night I am fine!
Anyway, thats how I do it!

hehe, don't want to start an argument BigTrancer, but during my hardest rolls while i do feel ecstatic, i also feel seriuously *smacked out*. Maybe its just me...
 
*sigh* but it is nothing like the feeling of having taken an opiate... so the term is ill-informed... end of debate..
it's like having an orange and calling it "lemony"... er well yes, but ultimately no... why not call it what it is? or at the very least stop calling it something it definitly isn't...
 
Just a few questions for everyone - Does anyone here have experience of being smacked out on herion? Or is it just plain assumption that we know what being smacked out is? Or further more have we taken this dirty word and created a new meaning to describe certain type of pills? If it's the later it's a shame!!

MDMA is pure bliss!!! many other words can be used, but smacked out is not one of them. Leave the smack word to the smakcy

While I am a bit tentative to wade into the smack debate, I must put forward my thought on why the term "smacky" has made such an inroad into our vernicular.
My group of friends have always referred to a good strong MDMA pill as 'smacky' not in reference to a possible link to heroin, but rather because quite joyfully, we're smacked down on our arses, loved up to the hilt. Or in other words, we feel like we've been 'smacked' in the head with a giant marshmellow pillow.
So, rest assured I wouldn't dare call a MDMA pill smacky in the confines of Bluelight, but for me personally, it describes exactly how delightful I feel sitting on my arse, tingles coarsing through my body.
Yum, can't wait for the weekend!
 
congrats Bent, u managed to express what i have been trying to say in such a better manner than I did.
JB, i have never tried H, and never want to. So it stands to reason that if i actually thought that smacky pills were like smack, i prolly wouldn't take them, in a similar way, i wouldn't eat *lemony* oranges if i didn't like lemons...
