SKOOL'D Sept 28th 2002 @ Asylum, MA

our record breaking ONE HOUR in attendance at the party... let's say i'm glad i got my sleep otherwise i wouldn't have been able to work it proper today. sorry we couldn't have stayed later, aside from meeting the bluelighters (which is always a pleasure), the party lacked a particular vibe we once knew and thrived for... might have something to do with the lurking weenieness creeping up my spine. i guarantee we'll kick it right next time out *and no work the next morning.

besides that i had a blast first time that happened in a long time....
 
well, it was fun... i guess... it was hot, and crowded, but it was a columns party, so what's new. and yeah, there wasn't a vibe that was anything special. in my mind, it's already faded into yet another asylum party.
yay for lil glowworm, who is now an official party kid :) and yay for sarah, who took yet another step in corrupting her baby sister ;)
so... i slept thru my alarm going off for something like an hour this morning, and was a good 90 minutes late to work, but i had the dreaded asylum cough, and lost my voice as usual, so i just played like i had a cold :) got my boss to make me tea and everything!
 
Well this was my first time at the Asylum since The Good back in April, and I gotta say I was pretty impressed. Melee vs. MJ in the side room was siiiick!!! And if anyone caught my friend Tina in the side room to close out, she ripped shit up too. But it was good to see Jamal (sorry if i blinded you at all), Scaryraver, Glowworm, Kaydub, The Ravetoy, The Welcome Matt, and whoever else i forgot. Next Party: Boo 7 Peace!!!
 
I had a lovely evening! It was great to meet such fine BLers as Ms. Red and Icey, to re-meet Jamal, and to see glowworm, lil glowworm, and scary. (btw, sarah i seem to have lost your sn...)

Yeah, we had a pretty good time, though the scene at the asylum is wearing thin on me. I was psyched to see Craze but a little disappointed with his set - i can hear Arun scratch those same records any night of the week.
 
Overall Saturday was a pretty good night. Not nearly as big an e-puddle in the back as I remember in the past. There didn't seem to be as many amazing dancers as usual (as in, in comparison to the few times I went in the past), though. Did anybody else notice that? A whole bunch of people were dancing, which I respected seeing as you don't get that in Florida, but man, some of those people in the circles just should not have been there. The breakers I saw (other than a select few) just didn't impress. I'm am definately not saying I could dance better, which I certainly can't, but I also wasn't fighting my way into the circles. But then again, maybe that was all just me.

well...of my one hour at the party, i guess it was ...alright... Cant say I have had enough time away from the Asylum, though. Highlight of the evening having to be seeing some old friends and a definite low point was having NOT seeing some friends---> Red I was lookin fo yo azz and thought you just werent gunna show. We bailed cuz it blew, but i miss you (ahh poetry). i hope we get together soon *sniffles*
 
oh, and did i mention the dumb candykid that blew glitter all over my back? i'm standing there chatting with friends (i don't really remember who at this point) when i feel somethin funny on my shoulder blades. i turn and look, and this large-pupiled plastic-draped girl has a handful of glitter in front of her face that she has just blown half of all over me. i turn back, and i feel it AGAIN. i had 3 girls in the bathroom scratching it off of me, and i still saw pieces of it in the shower on satruday AND sunday night. itched like a motherf*cker.
i really don't have a problem with candykids, or anyone else on drugs, they do thier thing and i do mine. but i HATE it when they think i want to be touched/rubbed/massaged, or spoken to for long periods of time, or have glitter/vicks/plastic beads put on me. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
 
i actually felt like this was the best asylum party i've ever been to. the deep house upstairs and the fact that brian green (one of the nastiest dancers in the world) unexpectedly showed up and gave me a dancing lesson for free made the long trek from up north worth it. feelgood did disappoint me though.
 
well...skool'd was great...great vibes from this girl Drew...shes hella sweet and sexy too :)
i had a blast and was all grins that nite...hence my bluelite name...i look forward to hangin with that sexie gurlie again cause she and this other girl Jenni made my nite....woot woot woot

Skool'd was awesome, one of the best parties I've been to at asylum. I had a great time with my crazy buddy with the mohawk (BigGrins). And a great time with the lovely lady Drew (funky4breakz). You guys made this night fun. I'm glad I went to see all my old buddies who I haven't seen for a long time. I miss you guys, and keep it real. Thanx for the fun, and the memories that I will keep forever. I love ya'll.
 
but they don't know i'm theravetoy! and i really need to consider getting a new handle. for someone as jaded as i'm getting, this one doesn't really fit anymore.

BBWAHAHAHAHAHA! damn them candypunks. funny they don't mess with me, guess they just know i'll kick em in the head. when ya been hardcandy for a while guess it's only natural to petrify the youngins.
what the hell happened to REAL kandy, i.e. dance-have fun-life of the party... not drug-annoythecrapoutta even their own- epuddle orgy..
