Should psychonauts take more outward pride in what they do?

I think most of the experiences I've had, with LSD anyway, would be a lot more enjoyable for an introvert than an extrovert.

When an extrovert does psychedelics, they can very much enjoy it. They go out in the world and hike and build massive projects for Burning Man, etc..... but these days I guess they mainly go to shows and or hand around beaches, and that their numbers have gone down with the population. The ratio of introvert/extrovert mind travelers definitely saw a lot of extroverts drop out and go more mainstream since the 1950s or 60s, or the drugs themselves made them more introspective and essentially introverted after enough trips.

I stumbled upon this drug culture website and I think, after much consideration, that this is the appropriate forum.

I love it because he manages to marshal his faculties while under the influence. Each drug is represented so well, and I related to some of them so much, that I think I probably could have saved myself a lot of time and drama by looking at the drugs' artistic representations instead of dosing.

Each drug is that well represented, imho.

Personally, I am under the firm belief that psychedelic drugs often are too varied of an experience for each individual person to give the impression that everyone who takes them will be able to get to "the next level" of thinking (not really a huge fan of that term but it's all I can think of atm, better take lsd right?)

Some people go to a different level, but it's not necessarily in the right direction.

Some people go all over the place in different levels but kind of just float through it, no realizations made or dots connected.

some people think they are at a higher level than they really are, and wake up the next morning unable to remember anything let alone how to change the world

some people realize that changing the world is overrated, you just have to change your little corner of it and pay your taxes :D

Christianity's not for everyone either, but they still evangelize. We're still using ancient forms of self-actualization, and it's not doing the trick anymore. Almost everyone seems to doubt God these days.

From just one trip your outlook on life can go from negative to positive and last months if not years. Psychedelic therapy has proved promising, but needs more funding and research access.

One thing I have realized is < IQ 100 = "whoooah I'm fucked up" and that's about all they'll get out of it..
