Self-checkout = stealing made easy
Like, pay for a bunch of huge cheap items and put something small and valuable under them? So that way when the checker looks at your receipt it appears to match with what you have.
On the topic of minimum wage, McDonalds, and their health insurance. They have different health insurance plans, and they're not all shitty... but probably not the best I'm not an insurance expert. In my state the minimum wage is going to be increased to 9$ an hour soon, and everyone at McDonalds besides salary-paid managers will be paid 9$.
Oh yeah, and the 74 hour work week thing... YEAH RIGHT. NO ONE gets those kind of hours... NO ONE gets paid overtime unless they have to to cover someone else position. Once someone fucks up and forces someone to get overtime to cover their position, the person who missed is fucked. The store managers at places like that (especially the manager I had) do not like overtime one bit. I was getting 36 hours per week every week (9 hours a night 4 nights a week). I honestly don't see how anyone could possibly even put in 74 hours in a week at McDonalds... that would be like living there. The smell coming off of you when you got out of there would be disgusting.
So yeah, that's the dumbest part of that budget, the rest of the stuff on there is alright.
To people in this thread, unless the local McDonalds near you is run by people who actually CARE about the job (good luck) watch out! There's plenty of ways that your food could be contaminated by reckless employees. The meat trays are only rinsed out by most of the people who wash dishes, so there's a constant layer of grease in the bottom that never gets cleaned, and more meat gets stacked on that everyday. The wrappers the food goes in fall on the floor if you're being reckless, and most people will just pick them back up even though there's dirt all over the floor and probably on the wrappers themselves because of stepping on them. Also managers will not tolerate big wastes of money! Say a whole pack of patties gets spilled all over the freezer floor, a manager will tell you to pick it up and put back in the box. If you put too much meat waste in the waste bin managers will yell at you for cooking too much so you'd rather eat it instead. There's a lot of bullcrap between the frozen boxes of mcdonalds food and the hot mcdonalds food being put in your hands, so just think about that. If anyone wants to ask how something goes on or whatever feel free.
Oh sorry, off topic McDonalds rant.
