Hey all, I'm finally quitting, had my last dose (30 mg, roxicet) around 9 PM and its now 2:30 AM. I've been on roxies (30 mg) for about a year, started orally 30 mg a day but around the start of the new year I started doing a half in addition to my 30 mg and I was snorting the half. Not long after that I was snorting both the 30 and the half and for the last two months I've been snorting two a day, so 60 mg. I am done with these and my brother, who also just quit said he had like four clonidine left over. My question is would these do me any good during withdrawal? I don't know how bad my withdrawal is going to be but I wanted to see if I should bother taking these. Also, would four be enough to get through the withdrawal? If not, then I won't bother. I imagine I'm going to feel like shit considering I have been snorting these lately and I've been on them every day for about a year. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Four would be enough since you are only supposed to take 1 a day. I take one 0.2mg pill at night time, and usually do that for 3 days. It definitely helps with the RLS, and with sleep too, so I suggest utilizing them. Just be careful when standing up quickly on them because it may make you get lightheaded easily.

How bad do you think the withdrawals will be on what I was doing? (snorting was the ROA, by the way). I have gone a day without doing roxies (when I couldn't find them or afford them) and noticed slight discomforts (the shits, slight agitation) by the second day but usually by that time I found a connection so I never went more than two days without doing them. I always thought the withdrawals would kick in full blast the day after not doing them...

When I had a similar habit as you I never noticed withdrawals either, because like you I never really had to go more than a few days without anything. When I finally stopped, it took 3 days before I felt any discomfort, 4 days is when it got pretty bad, and them by day 5 it was still pretty bad (especially my stomach) but it got better shortly after that.

The first withdrawal isn't really that bad, unless you had a lot higher of a tolerance. A lot of it is mental, so since you don't know what to expect yet, it's not as bad as someone that has been through them before and is dreading gong through them again. I think it won't be that bad for you, and it will probably be shorter than the usual withdrawals.
