Hi There,

It's been a few years since I have posted on here, so sorry if ive posted this in the wrong section.

I have been on Seroquel XR 50mg for a few months. I used to take Piracetam + Choline as a daily routine with my regular vitamins to help boost my alertness along with my memory and found it quite useful. Since being on Seroquel.. I've found my short term memory has been nothing but shocking and have not been able to pay attention very well.

Does anyone know if there is an interraction between Seroquel XR + Piracetam + Choline?

Also as an additional question, my girlfriend is on Mirtazapine (SSRI). Who also wants to take Piracetam + Choline again.

Thanks in advance.

:-)

Antipsychotics in high dosages lowers dopamine, which is responsible for data processing in the brain. That's why you can't concentrate very well. What dosages you take?

And what dosages is Piracetam and how long it takes for you to feel the effects?

I take 100mg of Seroquel XR a night and my girlfriend is on 30mg of mirtazapine at night.

I used to take 3g of piracetam powder a day. But not since I've been on Seroquel and want to know if it's safe.

As far as I understood 100mg Seroquel is not that high dosage(i'm not really sure about that, becouse I take other antipsychotics). So I can't find out what causes this poor alertness.

Seroquel inhibits dopamine. Choline and piracetam, of course, increase choline and raise choline utilization. Safe with Seroquel? I'd assume it's a crapshot, choline happens to somewhat inhibit dopamine synthesis as well (from my understanding of the documentation on nootropics). I can't say for sure, but I'd think it may be possible you'd drastically increase you chances of side effects?

If I remember, Seroquel can cause attention and memory issues through multiple MOA. It serves as an anti-histamine (my experience was short-lived after speaking in tongues and also the dreams). This is most likely the cause of the alertness trouble, leading to the attention and memory issues? I can't remember ever sound sleep during my months on Seroquel. I think I remember something about the average "therapeutic" is about 800+ though.

Choline increases acetylcholine production and the same for piracetam to some extent. Seroquel has some anti cholinergic properties so I wouldnt advise on the combination personally... as always ask your doctor though as im not one myself ;)

Seroquel at 100mg acts primarily as a strong antihistamine and adrenergic blocker
