I know GHB+ other downers = deep trouble. I knew a kid that died that way, tho that was because he fell off a cliff rather than aspirated his own vomit. But when people talk about this axiom they are generalizing downers into those we know cause respiratory and cardio depression -- alcohol and opiates, and barbs, to those old skool enuff to have known them (but that was before the world hit on GHB...). Seroquel is pretty damn safe on its own so I wonder if it's safe to combine a moderate sleeping dosage of GHB (4 grams or so) with what is a moderate dose of seroquel for me (50-120mg without a tolerance) in order to come down quickly and efficiently off a stim run. I would rely on the seroquel alone but I am interested in the effects of the GHB in compensating for not sleeping much lately. It's a real fucker even just on its own and I can't stand taking it for short naps anymore because I wake up only just after it's beginning to wear off and I can't leave my bed for at least another 2 hours until I'm not ready to puke or slam my head against a wall to make the vertigo and headache go away.

So is this combination safe or not? I'm pretty sure I've done it before I just can't remember how much caution I put into the dosages. Thanks BL people, you all rule

As long as you don't overdo either one, it should be safe. The danger with mixing downers comes when they drugs have a synergistic effect on breathing and thus the lethal dose of each individual drug is lowered. Take for example benzodiazepines and opiates. The benzos act on GABA and slow down breathing, while the opiates act on the opiate receptors and also slow down breathing, thus when these drugs are combined these effects quickly add up. However, with seroquel and GHB, such a combination isn't really risky because seroquel targets the dopamine and serotonin receptors, which have relatively minor roles in breathing, while GHB targets GABA and other GHB receptors. As such, the risk of respiratory depression is not elevated significantly due to the addition of the seroquel.

Its a bad idea, mixing Quetiapine (Seroquel) with any other downer cause low blood pressure that might make you black out when standing up, It happened to me when I drank alcohol and took my Quetiapine for sleep. And its not unheard that it cause this.

I know this is an old post. But have you tried again?

I took a seroquel and a zopiclone a few weeks back and I don’t even remember getting into bed or talking on the phone.

This week I took half a srequol, a zopiclone and ghb. My friend said I passed my normal unconscious state and he said I was only taking 1-2 breathes a minute. So he gave me 2 shots of meth to bring me back to a lower ghb state.

Quite scary. I really don’t think seroquel are for mixing
