The names ring a bell. I think the US was in cahoots with one of them iirc (ahem Pol Pot ahem).

Ask someone who lived under Tito which era was more enjoyable.

In my country the communists were responsible for numerous murders and terrorist attacks between 1970-1980. So it doesn't relate only to countries which have had a communist government.

In my country right wing terrorists were responsible for the deaths of hundreds from the 70s-90s.

Point being, it's a fallacy to condemn an idea based on the actions of people who believed in that idea.

Then why bother? I could point out that i am not a Stalinist at all in fact nor are most Communists these days (the Cold War ended already) and that many Capitalist countries have also been responsible for countless deaths. I don't believe the Nazis, Franco and the various Juntas that ran many Latin American countries where Communist. Not to mention how is the bible any less violent in dealing with Infidels then the Quran is and how all Abrahamic religions are essentially the same but why fucking bother arguing with a Conservative ideologue.
