VENUE:
CAMP AMERICA located in rural south-west ohio just north of Oxford. Campe America features free on-site parking, free camping (never drink and drive...camping is urged), two great areas for music, newly upgraded lighting and pathways, and "ewok" village
Although traditionally Camp America is an outdoor facility for your comfort all three stages will be "indoors". I rent large tents with room for over 400 in each area under the roof. This helps keep the sound levels from echoing all over the neighborhood as well as keeping the gear and the kidz dry in the event of bad weather.
All walkways, parking areas, and gates will be lit up for your safety. Also, absolutly no unauthorized vehicles are to be driving inside the venue. Only equiptment trucks and vendors will be permitted in the camping and stage areas. Please park in the designated area and set up camp on the main field. Mickey started DJing in the late eighties and became well known with the advent of the Acid House movement in South London. He was given the name Mickey Finn because of his build by mates and friends in the scene. In the early nineties breakbeat and loose jungle techno was filling his record boxes as he travelled the length and breadth oh the UK. Such was the demand for his skills at this time by huge events all around the country he was even strarting to catch private planes between gigs. Mickey's production talents started off with Biting Back - She's Breaking Up then partnered Gavin and Claudio for Urban Shakedown - Some Justice. Now in the late nineties Mickey travels the world and throws down his vibe in countries like Japan, USA, Australia, Holland, Ibiza, Germany, Finland, Israel and France to name just a few.
Being at the helm of the UK drum and bass phenomenon means his record bags are full of the most upfront dubplates and latest releases from producers all around the world.

It was 1997 when Ariel was exposed to Jungle/Drum n' Bass and the Minneapolis rave scene. 3D, Snuggles, Danny tha Wildchild, Slack, and Casper just name a few, were DJs out of the Chicago scene that influenced Ariel into DJing himself. He was officially hooked on the musical style known as Jungle/Drum n' Bass.
His sets vary from Progressive, to Ragga, to Hard, to Experimental and everything in between, always with some exclusive material of his own and always trying to keep his listeners on their toes. Recently he has been premiering numerous tracks of his on dub plates and will very soon play only on dub plates.
Though exposed to varied degrees of academic electronic music in school, Ariel's passion for Drum and Bass has landed him a permanent home in his studio where he spends a majority of his time. His style of production displays many influences such as UFO!, Aphex Twin, Goldie, Facs, and Klute just to name a few. Although writing within the structure of the DnB style, Ariel's concept of sound, color, timbre, and form are greatly derived from art/academic music. In writing Drum and Bass he is trying to achieve an equal blend of urban and artistic sounds, while keeping the listener in suspense and of course MOVING!!!

In over a decade of dedicating his life to DJing Drum & Bass and Jungle, Mowgli has held his ground as a forefather of the sound in the Mid-West. Along with Troll, they have been the epitome of excellent DJ's with proper knowledge and attitude. As of recently, Mowgli has gone back to playing drums and sampling loops. He has equipped artists such as A-Sides(Eastside/Fuze/Metalheads), Dylan & Facs(Biotic/XXX/OutBreak), MK2(M.A.D.Bass), and Boombip(Mush/Lex) with these drum breaks. Frankie J, is one of the Midwest’s fastest up and coming DJs / Producer. Currently living in Chicago, Frankie J is a weekly resident DJ at The Funky Buddha Lounge, where he canes the latest and greatest liquid funk Drum N’ Bass tunes as well as his original productions. Over the last 3 years Frankie J has played at numerous clubs and events in almost every major city in the Midwest. Alongside djing, for the last two years Frankie J has been producing all styles of dance music including House, Drum N’ Bass, Hip-Hop, and Garage. Currently, you can hear some of Frankie J’s productions on Dub Frequency’s newly released Newport Beach CD Compilation. Also be on the lookout for Frankie J’s ‘Moonlight’ set to be released on Bunchlox Recordings in fall 2003.

AJ has always maintained an interest in music. As a child growing up in Columbus, Ohio, he took lessons in classical piano, and continued to explore through drums and bass guitar. All of that changed quickly when he was first exposed to Jungle, and the complexity and originality of the music became too much to resist. In 1997, while studying at the University of Cincinnati, he traded in his bass guitar and drums for turntables and began DJing. Almost a year later, AJ was playing out and winning the respect of his peers while developing his sound. In 2001, AJ began producing, and has since had his tracks appear on several mixtapes, as well as some upcoming compilations. While AJ's style is constantly evolving, you can always expect the most up-front Drum and Bass, fueled by a love for beats and an undying respect for the old skool.

Since then Phrenzy has been lurking in the shadows of the midwest, making rare public appearances alongside the likes of Dieselboy to Darude. For the past eight years, Tim Hayes aka DJ Soniq Stylz has been honing his skills in the mid-west club scene, searching for the right combination of genres. With several club residencies and main events under his belt, he has toured with the likes of Jesse Saunders, Delta 9, DJ Irene, DJ Rip, and DJ Kos Soniq also ran his own club night (called Activ8) and a series of after parties, featuring the likes of Titonton Duvante, DJ Rip, Diggabeats, Tilzs, Tronic, and Kid Entropy. Soniq is now taking his lively sets to the nationwide masses, in places like Detriot, Seattle, Texas and Chicago. Having recently dropped "Just The Messenger", a double CD release, he is getting ready to add two new mixes, "Housewrecka v. 4" and "Disc Breaks".

John's technique to live performance is different from many live PA's. It includes live recording and manipulation of sequences and does not involve a computer or master sequencer. Because he produces and remixes material live, every performance is a unique experience. Over the past 3 years John has played at some of the largest parties and clubs around Ohio.

For the past eight years, Tim Hayes aka DJ Soniq Stylz has been honing his skills in the mid-west club scene, searching for the right combination of genres. Finding it in nu-skool breaks and hard house, Soniq is one to look for in the future. With several club residencies and main events under his belt, he has toured with the likes of Jesse Saunders, Delta 9, DJ Irene, DJ Rip, and DJ Kos Soniq also ran his own club night (called Activ8) and a series of after parties, featuring the likes of Titonton Duvante, DJ Rip, Diggabeats, Tilzs, Tronic, and Kid Entropy. Soniq is now taking his lively sets to the nationwide masses, in places like Detriot, Seattle, Texas and Chicago. Tim also dabbles in music production under the moniker Flogged Dolphin, knocking out local club favorites "Feel The Power", "Weapons", and "Bump". Having recently dropped "Just The Messenger", a double CD release, he is getting ready to add two new mixes, "Housewrecka v. 4" and "Disc Breaks".

React is the driving force behind Subsonik Productions, a crew that has brought world class talent and high quality events to Ohio since 1998. Also one of the regions leading techno DJ's, his style varies from thought provoking minimal techno, to sophisticated tech-house, to floor driving techno. React's mixing style and technique is just as eclectic as his sound, and ranges from smooth and progressive in nature to a more Detroit influenced style of turntablism (tricks, cutting, backspins, etc). React has rocked a large number of clubs and parties, with numerous appearances in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Columbus, Dayton, his home town of Cincinnati, and others. React is currently focusing on 3 turntable mastery and 2 x 4 sets with other techno DJ's, in addition to building a studio to produce music.

John's technique to live performance is different from many live PA's. It includes live recording and manipulation of sequences and does not involve a computer or master sequencer. Instead, he uses separate sequencers to control each instrument (sampler, synthesizer, drum machine) independently, which allows for a degree of live improvisation. Because he produces and remixes material live, every performance is a unique experience. Over the past 3 years John has played at some of the largest parties and clubs around Ohio.

overture of silence, Kenya expresses musically his vision of artistic

of the epiphanic collaborative, Popularity Contest Committee, Kenya
DuBois is an Ambassador of the atmospheric state of mind.

Starting his dj career in 1996 with hiphop and IDM shows on WKCO 91.9fm,
Catnap held residencies from New York City to London UK in the late 90's, and
has made his mark on Ohio's rave and club scenes since moving to Columbus in
2000. He is known for a style that is very eclectic but always a mix of
gritty breakbeats, retro sounds, and jazzy textures. His newest DJ mix,
"Rendez-Vous", mixes instrumental hiphop with jazz, lounge, and world music in
the same vein as Mark Farina's "Mushroom Jazz" series. Original tracks by
Catnap will also be featured on GrooveReactor Records' upcoming compilation,
to be released in January.
