Russo-Ukrainian War v. World War 3?

Could well be. I mean, WW1 was just as contrived as this fucking nonsense is right now. Same god damn forces involved as well - City of London/British establishment calling the shots. Only this time around we have the hindsight of history, in particular the past two decades of phony and contrived wars that have been well documented thanks to the internet and alternative sources. Unlike back in the WW1 era where all we had were the MSM papers - those same press barons were directly involved in the creation of MI5, MI6, and GCHQ (First Imperial Press Conference 1909).

Like so many other aspects of our modern world narrative, it has all the sophistication and nuance of a South Park episode. It's fucking embarrassing. I'm really tired of people falling for same nonsense over, and over, and over again. Meanwhile we (UK), as well as other nations, are going through really tough times economically, whilst our establishment continues to line their fucking pockets due to shipping over ammunition and toys for the soldiers of war. As if fleecing our nation during Covid wasn't enough with all the dodgy contracts and PPE. When are people going to realise that's how things actually work in the west? Our political and ruling class literally manufacture crises to drive business for themselves. It's maddening!

Same in America, inflation has absolutely skyrocketed prices, wages haven't kept up with inflation for a long time (hell we still have a 7.25/hour federal minimum wage, which nets you a life of poverty at 40 hours a week), but it's way worse lately. They're not only driving up prices massively, but also slyly reducing the amount you get in packages of stuff ("shrinkflation") and substituting cheaper, inferior ingredients and marketing it as "new formula, same great taste!!!1!". Meanwhile, corporations are experiencing all-time record profits, and billionaires are being created left and right.

in pretty much every country that pretends to be a democracy, certain freedoms are suspended during times of war.
I dont like but understand conscription under the circumstances.

Fuck conscription. No one owes their life to the state. How is it people can claim "Oh, society owes you nothing" on the one hand then just accept the proposition that the state has the freedom to requisition your life on the other? Absolute nonsense! If a country has the ability to force men to give their lives (or contribute to the enterprise of taking the lives of others) then really we don't have freedom at all and only the pretence of it. It means a person is not much more than cattle on someone elses farm.

Does my nut in. I'd rather die than go along with that.

When an invading army comes for your country and you feel that defending your homeland is too risky for your precious skin and choose not to fight for your nations freedom and you hide or run you are a pathetic coward.

It's not 'my' country. I have absolute no say or ownership over it, beyond the perfunctory and meaningless voting system we participate in. I owe the country nothing. I pay my taxes and don't harm others, that's as far as my responsibility goes.

If others want to fight, great, knock yourselves out. I don't care. I'm just not interested in killing other people for other peoples politics. And don't talk to me about cowardice. You won't see Zelensky, Putin, Biden, Sunak or Charles picking up a rifle and going to fight will you? Or any of the ruling class generally. Or even the generals. No. They all sit behind desks hundreds or thousands of miles away, eating the finest foods and drinking the finest wines whilst sons and daughters of people who just want to be left alone are sent out to die for their shithead game playing.

Fuck war and fuck conscription. You show me any war or conflict in the 20th century and I'll show you just how unnecessary and contrived it was. There hasn't been a single one where actual 'defence from tyranny' was a legitimate argument. Every single one has been contrived by the money men and their geopolitical game playing.

If I were Ukranian I'd be leaving. You can keep throwing around 'duty' and 'coward' if you like but you'd be shitting your pants all the same if your government lost the plot and forced you to the frontlines with shit equipment to just be pointless canon fodder.

If you're not trained to kill, and not trained in military technique/strategy, you're not going to amount to much more than canon fodder, period. You aren't going to be given the top equipment, just rifles and maybe a few grenades. You will be slaughtered by artillery, snipers, and all the other high-tech weapons systems that exist.

Sending in young men as canon fodder was pointless in WW1. It is even more pointless now. Absolutely no point in being a useless statistic that makes zero difference to the outcome of other peoples game playing.

I'll say it again. Fuck conscription.

This is a truism.
However... there are special forces from many nato countries that are inside Ukraine training the newbs. Also no doubt CIA providing intel on when and where to strike. It is always done in this manner when the west becomes involved in a "conflict".

I'll do it for family and close friends. I'm not doing it for an abstract idea like a country, a country which doesn't known me or give two shits about me beyond my ability to pay taxes. They won't be training the canon fodder. That's not how it works. They'll be training the commanders and those with experience already, the ones who are actually in charge of the soldiers. There's no way they're going to waste time trying to train up newbs. No point. You can't force people to be a good shot or harden them to the reality of battle so they don't instantly shit themselves, it takes proper prolonged training.

Bit about the CIA is true though. They've been fucking around in Ukraine for over a decade if not longer.

That is basically where I was going with the comment as the training does trickle down but really only going through the experience of combat will this training sink in.
Like theoretical/practical knowledge.

There's a lot of misinformation in this post but I just want to point out that 2022 had the sixth highest average global temperature since records began in 1880.

Just for a little context... the servant of the people's party has 250 seats in parliament and the next biggest party 'For Life' has 37 ( which is who I guess you're talking about? ). Anyway its an openly Pro-Russian party, and Russia invaded their country. You think they let confederates into the government during the civil war? You think Stalin let Nazis walk around his cabinet after Hitler invaded? No. Its a necessary measure in times of war. The existence of the state is at risk, there could be no bigger stake.
