Hey all,
My name's Mitch, a Bluelighter from Southeast Florida/Fort Lauderdale area here... If you've heard of the town of Davie, that's where I live. It's right in the heart of Broward county, which is south of Palm Beach and north of Miami/Dade County if you're unaware.
Just wanted to pop in and say hey... I'm 35 years old, been into the rave/party/club scene since 1987, dropped out for a few years from 1996-2000, and have been a die-hard oldschool raver, breaks/electro fanatic, techno-head and industrialist ever since.
I'm not a DJ, but I do a bit of remix work and am slowly edging into studio work and production. I'm actually just getting set to release my first semi-professional mix CD, "Future Perfect?!", which will shortly be available at my website,

Euphoria Project is a collective I started in May of 2001 to help improve the spirit and unity of the South Florida electronic music scene. It's helped a lot, in my opinion, and at present there's a core group of roughly 30 people (plus about 75 regulars) who take part in Euphoria Project parties & events, and help to promote other events in our area. Mostly we just throw small, intimate, chilled out house parties at my pad here in Davie (check out pictures,
http://www.EuphoriaProject.org/haus/ if you like). We generally party every weekend, though we only open our doors to the public, throwing larger events roughly once every month or month and a half.
We recently tried our hands at throwing a legitimate club event, but decided it's too much hassle, too much uncertainty, far too many variables and negatives to be able to run a perfect "oldschool/underground" event. Instead, we're currently seeking out a nice large warehouse that we can lease (or buy, preferably), so we can move all of our light & sound equipment in there, have a nice dancefloor and a chillout area, and throw mini-raves on the weekends. With any luck, sometime in the next year or so there'll be a new, completely legitimate underground venue available for South Florida electronic musicians, DJs and producers.
If anyone out there is interested in hanging out sometime, there's always people chilling out here at the Euphoria Project party house. (The people in the Euphoria Project don't really care about age; it's just a number - we mostly range from 18 years old on up to late 30s. Nice chill group, we all love the music and hate the bullshit politics of the scene. We're just here to have fun, kick back and party.
