they don't attack often, but if they get on top of a human it's game over, they eat you they don't just slash your throat or bash your head in, they get on top, and pick apart your body for over 2 hours

There is a high population of both black and grizzly bear in Canada's back country. I've hiked several thousand kilometers of those hard to find trails through grizzly country many times and never even used bear mace despite dozens of encounters with both species. Education prior to encounters is helpful, misguided rumours really are the main causes of the apx 30 deaths a year from bear encounters in North America. Personally my fear of illegal hunters off season in the back country is much more real.

I bow hunted (it has been to long to claim I still do), bears are far from impervious to weapons other than guns. Now angry moose would probably be the worst of the three. A grizzly you can hope to lay dead and get pissed on for later, a black bear you can aggressively fight if you can't simply de-escalate the encounter but a charging moose will trample you to a red a spot.

I think Finland (but i could be wrong) wanted to have a universal basic income but it was defeated in a referendum.

I don't know who's being sarcastic or ironic. It's hard to pick up via text. Socialism has a bad image in the US. It's political suicide to be associated with the word (eg Bernie Sanders). It would have to have the benefits of socialism while avoiding the negatives. That's actually quite simple. Americans want 3 major things from their country: the chance to get rich, religion, and to own military-grade weapons. So, provide the social safety net of Universal Income and quit messing with the gun laws. At the same time, encourage entrepreneurship by removing laws, restrictive taxes, and red tape that hurt small business. Transfer the restrictions to medium or large cap corporations (>$500 million annual revenue), and let the middle and lower classes have a chance for once. The immigration controversy could be taken care of at the same time. Give preference to citizens. If you do it right, it would have the support of the 99%.

These people should study up on a technical (software/IT) related field and maybe move out of the economically depressed areas of the country if they want to find work. Time for the liberal states to stop bailing out the lazy conservatives in Trump country.
