I just made a post but I think I accidentally deleted it.
To the point after months of injecting heroin and cocaine every single day and eventually becoming so malnourished I couldn't find any veins I contracted endocarditis. I am currently in the hospital with breathing problems and renal failure luckily the infection is just in my blood it did not make it to my heart which might've killed me or at the very least required surgery.
I'm looking to connect with anyone who's been here in my shoes that is anyone who has had endocarditis or a very serious infection as a result of injection drug use.
I have a hospital prison sentence of six weeks which I'm afraid to drive me crazy with my ADD and hate fullness of TV. I spend my days daydreaming about 711 pizza and greasy buffalo wings from anywhere. Mostly I just pray that I haven't destroyed my kidneys permanently and will not have to be on dialysis the rest of my life because of a bad decision I kept making for a year straight.
If you have an experience with endocarditis please share did your kidneys fail? Did the brush with death keep you from using?
PS Attmans forgive me if this thread is in the wrong place I'm not on a PC and it would be very hard for me to move I'm posting this with talk to text from a Kindle so please be considerate I beg you I also apologize for the lack of punctuate punctuation and sentence structure but that can't be helped for right now.
