Recurring nightmare

I have been having these nightmares. First one was I would get put under for my back surgery then everything was black (I died). The I dreamed my cousin had fell of a bridge. He was holding on to the edge and I didn't want to go pull him up cause I thought he would probably get up and I didn't want it to look like I cared so he ended up falling, I tried so hard to save him when I realized he was falling but it was too late. The next one which is the one that's happening now is I am high and I keep falling into shit and cant control my body, like I move to get up and fall and repeat all while my head is falling to the ground after every move, I also go from sober to this state and I will look at a family member then they come up to talk to me and I just start screaming in fear then black out. Let me remind you these all happen nightly and each one lasts like a week then a new one will start. I was on zero drugs but just really stressed out on the first 2 dreams, then on the 3rd one I have been smoking spice for about a week now. Has this happened to any of you? What do you think the reason for these weird ass dreams are? I just quit smoking spice so maybe that will make all this stop I don't know...

ive never smoked spice as it is literally random chemicals. it will definitely not make the situation better. i use to have terrible dreams after i overdosed on molly. i was afraid to sleep. i ended up going for walk at night with a friend before i went home to sleep. it did wonders. try going for walks and play uplifting misic with some headphones if you have noone to walk with. watch comedies before bed. anything to keep "good vibes" before you sleep. recurring nightmares may be from depression. if you dont want to get a prescription go to any walgreens or drug store and look for 5htp. hope this helps you. dont forget your body has many ways of healing. things will get better over time. contact me if you need to talk

First one - do you have back touble, or have you ever had it operated on?
Second one - this is obviously to do with not doing things in time, or leaving things too late...? Classic anxiety dream.
Third and current one - this is quite obviously to do with being out of control, unable to function, and being in a mess. Most dreams are symbolic of course, and I notice one theme in the last two is 'family'? Are you afraid of letting someone down - not necessarily your cousin, but a family member(s)? The dirt and filth you wallow in is probably symbolic of self disgust?

I suggest you try a rather radical approach, which worked well for me - abandon guilt, shame and jealousy. These are useless, destructive emotions, which can only cause misery and heartache, you will thrive and be happy without them, believe me. They can all be destroyed, defeated and abandoned by a simple process of 'meditating', and allowing your mind to employ logic and reason. Give it a go, you have nothing to lose!

As for drugs, I sincerely doubt your problems/bad dreams have anything to do with them. Even so, if you are at all worried by them, or about them, take a break.... can do no harm? Good luck!

I used to get dreams like these but I h have been hitting the spice hard for 6 months and can't remember any off my dreams now unless I don't smoke thoroughly through the night

sounds like you have a lot of anxiety that you are carrying into your sleep cycle, try TM meditation before bed

A while back I had a recurring nightmare.. 2 or 3 times a week, every week.

It didn't make much sense so I won't describe.. but it was disturbing my sleep pattern and causing me to wake up stressed and exhausted a couple of mornings a week.
It all got very frustrating.

After a couple months I started leaving a pen & paper at arms reach from my bed,, and noting down any tiny details I could remember from the dream when waking.. however silly..
Before long I had a few pages of these bizarre recollections.. I spent a while analyzing them trying to derive some meaning..
I couldn't decipher how any of it related to my life or any of my stresses or problems in the world.. in the least.

Anyway,, I wrote a song.. for acoustic guitar, using all of these bizarre notes.. it was called 'War Dreams'
One night I played the song for a close friend of mine, out camping with a fire and some beers.

After that night I never had the dream again.

All drug withdrawals will cause weird ass dreams. Try melatonin or even some hard liquor shots before bed, it helped me.
