Hey bl, what's up?

I'm going to my psych tomorrow, and I am unwilling to take the ambien I'm prescribed to anymore. I have high benzo tolerence so anything in the class with a medium-long half life would be ideal.
Could anyone recommend any pharms that might work for me?
I've been taking 2 mg of clonazepam sublingually, and 10 mg of zolpidem orally/subligually for the last 2 months. Prior to that I was in 60 mg of Temazepam and 2 mg clonazepam orally for 5 months. I have tapered and withdraw completely 2 or 3 times during this period.

What would be most efficient for my insomnia and peripheral anxiety? Z-class drugs are not an option, as they give me night terrors.

Zyprexa
and if you say no it is cuz you are chasing a high, which is not good to do with benzos..
Try zyprexa or seroquel.
Zyprexa is like etizolam. it's a theinobenzodiapine but a LOT more potent.

Any anti-psychotic? lamortagine and Aripiprozal have no effect on me

lamotrigine.. (i was on 300mg/night along with 30mg Zyprexa which i still take.. both for bipolar disorder)..is an anti epileptic and is in no way related to any of the drugs i mentioned.. not sure what the other one is.

Lamictal, is an anti-psychotic, mood stabilizing agent prescribed to me for depersonalization risorder and insomnia. I'm not chasing a high, as I can go weeks wthout taking the medication. But I need sleep, for my job. And as I have anxiety I need an axiolytic with a long half life.
I am not bi-polar and my depression is mediated through counseling. I also take instant remade adderal, specifically tk help me sleep while treating my adult add.

ok so if you are un willing to listen to others ideas why ask in the first place.. and lamictal i a mood stabilizer.. not an atypical or typical antipsychotic.. im outta this thread.. good luck on sleeping.

Lamotrigine (marketed as Lamictal (pronounced /ləˈmɪktəl/) by GlaxoSmithKline) is an anticonvulsant drug used in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder. For epilepsy it is used to treat partial seizures, primary and secondary tonic-clonic seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Like many other anticonvulsant medications, Lamotrigine also seems to act as an effective mood stabilizer, and in fact has been the only U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved drug for this purpose since lithium, a drug approved almost 30 years earlier.

I am willing, but I have reason to not dabble in atypical antipsychotics anymore than I have to, as I have never had positive results from them. I've tried diazepam but only in 40-60 mg doses. Gets me kinda stupporee but not tired. I'm not looking for euphoria; just sleep and anxiolytif effects.
I've never tried nitrazepam before; I'm no familiar with it at all.
Why is it wrong of me to not want to tranquilizer myself into a coma; when I could possibly rind somehig to help me rest and get good REM sleep?

because tranquilizing yourself to sleep is something you may need to do, and millions do it every night.

The zyprexa isn't used FDA labelled or prescribed off label for insomnia. Not sure why I can't snare that suggestion when I'm trying to improve my health. Seroquil has causes too many unwanted side effects for me to commit to taking them.
Long acting benzos would be my best bet would t they?

Bing tranquilized does not lead to REM sleep, just loss of fonciousness. My body can not handle going years without any reasonable amount of rest. Benzos rot give me hangovers or knock me out in such a negative, unproductive manner.

I work out everyday and have a physically demanding job. My diet is solid and I make sure to keep track of how I'm eating. Debilatating insomnia runs in my family and I have been dealing with it for years unsuccusfully.
What would pharms would help me the best, while I continue to work on the emotional/psychiatric side of this disorder? I am active in therapy, to help deal with this in conjunction with drug therapy.

I know this is probably an impossible task, but perhaps something like Xyrem could help you

or Halcion (Triazolam), though it has a pretty short halflife it seems to knock out plenty of my friends who are insomniacs with high benzo tolerances

Rx GHB lol

It's kinda hard to get Rx'd and you can only get it from the manufacturer.. but it's a possibility

look into it if you can

Just checked it out and it sounds promising. Much more promising than the anti-psychotic route. Why is it so tightly controlled if it doesn't have a large risk of abuse?
The wiki says it inceases deep sleep, quality of sleep; and am increase of growth hormone and energy. Sounds very promising!

GHB doesn't have the best track record... *cough* Date Rape *cough*

GHB has a very high risk of abuse.. Google "GHB addiction"
