Really wierd shit going on

hey yall,
do any of you ever feel like that some of the stuff that goes on in your life is somehow setup by someone on purpose? sometimes its as though you can foretell what is going to happen. sometimes everything just falls into place a little too perfect? you know what i mean? WTF!

Why can nobody spell properly?

Or is it just a "weird" "coincidence".

Yes, recently the syncronicities and coincidences have been up to ludicrous levels. I touched on it in the "soulmate" thread very briefly.

BTW: I haven't touched any chemcicals in a long while.

^^^ You make a good point even though people on this board will deny a lot of it. Sometimes the relations are absurd, and what you are experiancing are ideas of "fatalism", meaning things have happened for a reason and it's all mapped out.

It's difficult for people like michael to ever think of it as a truth because it spits in the face of scientific minds, and needs an explanation that isn't from a materialistic perspective. Something spiritual or really far beyond science would need an explanation, and me and michael simply do not tend to accept such ideas.

when you observe syncronicities you could look at it as observing your own mind instead of external reality.. play around with it a little

I understand the concept, and I agree with it. However it is a very personal thing. When you try and explain the concept of how a certain event in your life lead you here or there for some reason people say "maybe, I mean it could be true"

But how can you determine which events lead you to which destinations? for example 'if i wouldn't have been in that car crash, i never would of started going to church and never would of met... whoever"
As much as i agree with what your saying, I don't think it happens at significant points, I think it happens all the time and all throughout your life in every single moment. As in, you are meant to do everything you do, that is your purpose, that is your destiny, and that is the meaning in your life.

^^ lol. if only.

I say we make this into a thread about synchronicity, rather than one about spelling. I'll tentatively change the topic. PM me with complaints.

Hey, War-Pig... don't listen to 'coincidence' BULLSHIT. That's just what people say when they know they don't have a clue.. yet they want to hold on to any 'solidity' in their reality that they can. What they do not understand, is that reality itself-is not solid... it's more like a liquid.

Everything is connected, and if you can think of a way it is connected to u-u are connected to it, then more power to you... odds are, it is.

It seems to me, that whatever is in us that makes us notice these things seems to 'come alive' in or around the spring-time... hitting it's peak around the summer solstice (in my experience).

Maybe I'm just psycho.

The problem with 'synchronicity' is that there is not any 'real' data on it, and most of the 'real-modern world' tends to have an ass-backwards view of reality anyways.

To me, there is no other way, than that everything we do is correct... than-that everything we are is meant to be as we are, how we are, as we have done....

It's very Taoist, in it's purest form. If you accept things as holistic, and that we are indefinately just a fraction (a whole) of a greater fraction (a whole).. then these things make nothing BUT sense.

If everything is self-repeating, self-similar, and if everything is one (it has to be, or else, it wouldn't work.. umm.. it wouldn't be anything to work, if it wasn't)... then everything you do, everything you say, can in one way or another be related to the greater whole. (It indefinately IS)

and this is NOT 'hippy' BULLSHIT. This is the only way that things CAN 'be'.

If you want to read some shit when I was off the map.... so that u know you're in a definate territory, and not just some personal insanity- here u go.. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=136323

I hope your journies bring you excitement, and growth.

I have since learned to 'shut the synchronicity engine' off... meaning, if I don't want to, I don't have to see it. But if I want to, I can. You will probably get to the point where you have no other choice but to turn it off... or at least just tone it down a bit.

Or maybe, as with me, maybe it will (has, for me) just become a 'normal' occurance.. I guess that is more what I talk about by shutting it off.. just accept it as normal.

thanx bro, ill take a look

and funny that you say that thing about this stuff starting around spring time, my whole ''wierd shit episode'' started in the beginning of last spring, but only recently ive become aware of it and now i find my self asking wtf? and what do i do from here. know what i mean? peace bro.

i guess my main concern is that i kinda like it. i dont think i want it to go away. it makes me feel good when i see it. its as though someone is trying to communicate something to me. and i miss it when its not there sometimes.

Yea, I miss it too, when it's not 'happening' or doesn't 'seem to be'...

But trust me, it won't go away.. at least not completely. When I do notice the most stand-outish things, I accept them as blessings, or friendly reminders.. or just... windows of awareness into self.. or something.. and i move on..

It started for me around last spring (in it's most blatant forms), as well.

I have a lot of ideas about it, just stuff I've gathered along the way.

If you haven't ever read any books by Carl Jung, I would suggest the book called Synchronicity, which is a relatively short one... and then, moreso, I recommend a book by him titled "Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious"

I know I said I can 'switch it off' for say.. and that it's become 'normal'.. but in that instant of time, when the events and myself collide, it is by no means something that my brain interprets as 'normal'... it is nothing short of astounding... bewildering moreso.

It happens to me every once in a while, though of course there's always the issue of a selection effect (even from a believer in synchronicity like myself): that is, we'll remember the events that seem more than coincidental and ignore the vast majority of other events that don't.

In one event, I found $5 on the side of the road. Of course, I pocketed it. Later that evening, though, a bum came up to me and asked me for some money. I don't know if I was intimidated or what, but I gave him the $5 (which hadn't been mine to begin with), and I tell you, that guy took a double take while looking straight forward, if you know what I mean. He was amazed, and seemed truly grateful. Don't know (or care) what he used that money for, but in retrospect the memory makes me feel good. :)
