So SF beat your # 3 and #4 teams and they are ranked behind Houston who beat some of the worst teams in the league?

i don't care who houston played they are a top five team on anyone who has a sense of talent list

let me see your list

1.sf
2.atl
3.hou
4.bal
5.nyg
6.ne
7.gb
8.dal
9.det
10.pit
11.ari
12.phi
13.sea
14.sd
15.den

The thing about only putting 15 is that there are so many teams that are 1-1 that its hard to tell who is for real and who is going to suck. I think after week 3/4 we'll know a lot more. half the teams on my list might not be there for long.

its crazy to think that either the patriots or the ravens will be 1-2 after this week.

I'm not basing the top 15 on record or even head to head matchups, although there may or may not be a correlation down the line:

1. Hou
2. SF (tie)
2. Bal (tie)
4. GB
5. NYG
6. NE
7. Atl
8. Phi
9. Den
10. Pitt
11. Dal
12. SD
13. Chi
14. Det
15. Miami ( ;) )

Dont get me wrong, I like houston to win their division and maybe even get a top 2 seed in the AFC, but more because they have a patty cake schedule. We'll see what they're made of when they face some good teams.

I think Houston is the most complete team in the league, and that they will have the best record at the end of the year (and would with a tougher schedule as well). I fully expect them to lose to a lower seeded team in the playoffs despite being the best team on paper.

Baltimore/San Fran are the teams most likely to win the Super Bowl in their respective conferences, IMO, but I still believe Houston is the best on paper from a power ranking perspective. The team that should win it all but won't.

yes

only thing that would make them sexier is more depth at the WR position

they are so sure of themselves they let go all pro players like mario williams and eric winston over the off season and still remain nasty

kubiack is a great coach and wade phillips is an even better defensive coordinator

just stay healthy , specially you andre

I think Houston is definitely in the conversation with SF as the most complete team in the league, but as far as depth goes they really cant touch SF imo. SF has solid depth at every position except for maybe o-line and OLB. Every other position if one guy goes down you wont see much of a drop off (including quarterback, colin kaepernick is really good). We all saw what happened to Houston last year with a few key injuries.

Here is a list of most of the major sports media NFL power polls. Every single one has the 49ers at the top.

Well the 49ers will probably be borderline top 10 after their loss this week in power polls. Im obviously disappointing, but in a way I think this loss may be a good thing for the team. It should get them out of the spotlight and show them that if they dont bring their a-game every time, they will lose. Im betting they come out with a vengeance against the jets next week.

Its looking more and more like its going to come down to whoever gets the best of the divisional matchups this year in the NFC west.

1. Baltimore Ravens
2. New York Giants
3. Houston Texans
4. Atlanta Falcons
5. Arizona Cardinals
6. New England Patriots
7. San Fransisco 49er's
8. Chicago Bears
9. Seattle Seahawks
10. Minnesota Vikings
11. Cincinnati Bengals
12. Green Bay Packers
13. Pittsburgh Steelers
14. San Diego Chargers
15. Buffalo Bills

1. Hou
2. Bal
3. Atl
4. NYG
5. SF (they got upset pretty bad, still believe they will bounce back well)
6. NE
7. Ari
8. Den (moving up in a loss, no surprise they aren't better than Houston. Moving up because others moved down)
9. Phi
10. GB
11. Dal
12. Sea (GB still won, but they pretty good)
13. Phi
14. Pitt
15. Miami (Always, until they deserve to be ranked higher, of course)

Feels reactionary this week but a lot of good teams looking like they suck. Only SF and GB are expected to rise again, IMO.

^ miami is pretty close to top 15, they really havn't looked that bad and i respect your loyalty

i for one am actually going to swallow my pride and not rank the rams, i would put them around 20-24

i'm way too doped out to make my new picks, when i get back from shooting pool i'll post

thanks for playin everyone!

I think the vikings are legit, definitely the biggest surprise of the first quarter of the season. The Rams look much improved, but they have to play the cardinals and 49ers twice. Realisticly they are a long shot to make the playoffs. The Steelers seem to be a different team this year. Losing to Oakland is pretty bad, I dont like them to make the playoffs in that tough division.

The NFC East looks like its pretty much up for grabs.
